  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Hi Jake, I would appreciate if you could clarify one item about this list... If I understand correctly, this is a list of colors which we may expect to be present and will not be changed without prior discussion. That much I understand. I (...)   Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Thanks for the list, Jake (and thanks for keeping Billund's feet to the fire!). But I have a few questions: There's no beige on that Peeron list. Are orange, yellow, red, blue, and green the same as "bright orange", "bright yellow", "bright (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

It is nice to see that these colors will require review or discussion if a decision would ever be made to change them in the future. This seems like passing an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution - it can be done but would be hard to do. I like that. (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) Ok, what kid doesn't play with any of his toys that way no matter what they are? As a kid I had a couple friends whose parents absolutely INSISTED that they'd have no violent toys in the house. Star Wars toys? Nope. Transformers? Nope. But (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Well, cool. Personally, I did not expect to see colors like Nougat or Medium Blue on this list. I only expected to see the basics and a few rainbowish colors added like a shade of green and/or purple. But, as a AFOL who has taken a recent (...)   Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) I wonder why? Doesn't it feel good to have been proven right? After all, the new BRIGHTER sets were a raving success for LEGO, weren't they? LEGO sale numbers in Northern America were skyrocketing this year, and retailers have doubled or (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, FTX) !!

  Universal Color List...finally

I always hate starting off a conversation with an apology, but I fear I must today. For a number of months, I’ve been working with colleagues to get a final word on our "locked" or "universal" color list. I hate wading back into the color change (...)   Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) Hi Joe, Thanks for the compliments. I do wish that there was some way of uploading a larger image for the competition; the size that they give you on the website just doesn't show enough detail. I have a couple more "sets" for this series in (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) Sean, Thanks for the compliments. This is actually the first of what (if actually produced) would be three or more "connected" sets, which would create a larger scene. I'm going to try to have the next two ready next week's voting. Stay tuned! (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Looking for 886 Space Buggy

Hello, I am looking to buy the Classic Space Set "886 Space Buggy". I would prefer to buy it from a LUGNET member rather then Bricklink. I can pay with a Money Order, Cash, or Check. I will pay 5 Dollars US, and if thats too low, I can pay more. (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: .adventurers needs your help!

(...) Here is my Brickshelf Gallery: (URL) It contains my Adventures of Johnny Thunder series, of which there will hopefully soon (think Thanksgiving weekend) be a new addition. My Brickshelf ID (and on most other forums I frequent) is Athos (...) (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  TUESDAY MORNING

Tuesday Morning is having a 25% off sale. Each store has a different selection. For example the Spider Man lab set was going to $12.99 at KB while it was listed at TM for 14.99 - 25% comes to 11.XX. Not a huge savings, but a just enough to make it (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Tatsumaki

Welcome! Wow what a first Mech to post! I know this is not your first Mecha Construction, but I still want to wlecome you to lugnet.build.mecha! Yikes, this Mech is super cool. I think the style and form are great. The colors are all new and the (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

(...) I have also had those dreams of finding a treasure trove of parts. Especially when I was collecting red bricks for my huge red brick house. Numerous times, I would dream that I would go up to my attic and find a box of old Lego bricks left by (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New MOC: Taimatsu Racer

(...) I forgot to shoot the eyepiece better- I don't think there are any pictures that actually show it clearly in front of the pilot's eye. That's a little detail I've tried to put on other ships and never really gotten right before. It worked out (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Medium stone and light gray

(...) Medium Stone and Dark Stone are names that peeron uses, and obtained from a list supplied by TLC. Medium Stone = MdStone = Light Bluish Gray (BrickLink name) Dark Stone = DkStone = Dark Bluish Gray (BrickLink name) There is a subtle difference (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) This does seem awfully odd. It's still number one, with almost twice as many votes as the next runner-up. And it's a garbage image. But there's nothing in the rules that say you can't have all your friends vote for yours, no matter how (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Taimatsu Racer

Funny you should mention Halloween... although this first appeared at NWBrickCon, I actually started it a couple of months ago- a lot of projects, even small ones, tend to sit around in various (...)   Re: New MOC: Taimatsu Racer

(...) Yes, the canopy looks familiar? Right down to the two colors of curvy slopes on the sides. I had that assembly together for quite a while before actually finishing the model. Then I saw your blue and white ship the other day and did a double (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Taimatsu Racer

(...) Fair enough. It probably would have helped if I gave a better top shot- it looks a lot sleeker from the top or bottom, as the nose is tall and somewhat narrow rather than flat and wide. Even so, the racers aren't all intended for atmospheric (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
