Im not much of a Town builder, but I have had a couple of ideas for the
current contest. I figured that even the residents of micro-scale towns
need a place to get away to on vacation, so I came up with this:
Entitled Weekend Holiday, this model is actually the first in a series of
out-door-themed entries. This particular scene depicts a campsite next to a
mountain stream. While the man is fishing, his wife is enjoying a stroll
through the forest.

Joel,
I initially looked at this yesterday and thought hm, nice idea...everyone is
doing buildings and you arent! I only saw the pic above and was pretty
impressed with the work you put into the scenery.
However, I just took a closer look on your Brickshelf account and realized
that: a) you made pine trees in a different way (cool!)and b) used the
control lever for a fishing rod (Really cool!)!
Very nicely done and clever use of parts! You showed me a couple of ideas :-)

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the compliments. I do wish that there was some way of uploading a
larger image for the competition; the size that they give you on the website
just doesnt show enough detail. I have a couple more sets for this series in
the works, so stay tuned. Ill have to see if I can come up with any more new
uses for parts...
