Re: New and old to lugnet at the same time :-)

(...) Hi Samarth, I especially like your co-co undercarriage arrangement, with the actual motor hidden in the centre. Although it would mean the loco hangs out more in the corners, it is much easier to make a reasonable length co-co loco ;) ROSCO (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New and old to lugnet at the same time :-)

(...) Ahh, one learns something new every day! I was wondering if there was some way to defeat that! Now I can go back to snipping like this: <snip> in formatted text mode (it's the simple things in life...:-) Thanks for enlightening me, Bram:-) (...)   Re: New and old to lugnet at the same time :-)

(...) I liked the sunroof solution. (...) :-( But you rendered it in ldraw, no? (...) Actually, I agree with you. Though the track gauge is about right for 1 stud = 1 foot, that would actually make for a 10 wide scale, since most modern locos are (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: South Baltimore Rowhouses

(...) I love 'em... but I think the title for your page should be MicRow Houses, not Micro Row Houses =) Peter (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) That's for darned sure. Meanwhile, it's considered un-patriotic to criticize the actual violence inflicted upon innocent civilians overseas (well, "overseas" relative to the US, I mean). I had all kinds of toy guns and knives when I was a kid, (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

(...) In FTX, you can include brackets, braces, underscores, etc by escaping them with a single back quote (first character on your keyboard): _underscore_, [brackets], {braces}, |bars|. Take a look at the raw message to see how it's done. --Bram (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) Let's hope one of those things is Canada's own MegaBloks! Personally, I'd like to see Lego produce tanks and battleships and fighter jets. People who are vehement enough to NOT buy violent toys are going to find violence everywhere. Knight's (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Aargh...

(...) Well, just got off the phone with Frank, one of the shows organizers. He himself just got back from a train show in Ottawa, where the LEGO train guys had the table for kids to play with LEGO Bricks. Anyway, after speaking with Frank, I was (...)   Re: New and old to lugnet at the same time :-)

(...) Hi John, It's nice getting a reply from you. I fell in love with the 8 wides when it clicked in my head: I had two failed 6-wide designs for the WDP-4, and the only way to get the front windows to look right, was NOT to use this piece of you (...)   Re: GATS Pictures and Report - MichLTC

(...) We do store some 32x32 baseplates with 4 pieces of track already attached. For many of our layouts, we have long straight runs of two tracks right next to each other. This is a time saver both on setup and teardown. Jason Spears | (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)
