Re: New higher resolution scans of 238 LEGO Idea Book No. 1 (Netherlands)

(...) It looks exactly like my Swedish one ((URL) except that yours is in Dutch, and complete! Would you mind if I grabbed copies of the pages I'm missing (for personal use, only)? I think there is/was a German one from '62 somewhere out there on (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Rule check

(...) What I ment was to patch another hole before it forms: with scoring based only on total height above the floor, one spoiler strategy would be a single block on the end of a high pole (or platform). The tower would consist of one block but (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: RCX Replacement Firmware

Will there be a collaboration to sort out the mesh with NQC? This is simply great stark news and very exciting stuff, and we do pass along a 'congrats'! Nonetheless, we urge (and will contribute whatever we can) towards the move to use NQC, as or (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Looks like a big cat of some kind...

(...) Thanks Paul, and I agree about the windshield thing. That was one of the hardest parts of designing this beast - I came close to sculpting one with clear plates, but luckily I found that this part combo works fairly well. An odd-width angled (...)   Re: Looks like a big cat of some kind...

(...) Thanks Fradel, that was my main goal with this moc. I've seen dozens of Lego 'Hogs, and each one seems to focus on a specific feature to the exclusion of the whole vehicle. I like to think that this one gets more right than the rest, but I can (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Looks like a big cat of some kind...

(...) Thanks Alex. It's always cool to see how many people share your intersecting hobbies, and it's even better when it results in cool mocs :) The suspension thing was pretty organic; if you watch the Warthog in action (or just flip one over and (...)   Re: Looks like a big cat of some kind...

(...) Oh man, I'll be waiting for that, as a Technic Warthog is something I could never build properly. Should be an impressive thing in the hands of someone who can actually pull it off. Thanks, -jeremiah- (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) As for me, I think it was November, 1994, when Sparky's Space first made an appearance--Everything's been downhill since then... Eh, at least I met you guys thru the internets... Dave K (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  'Aliens'-style Dropship transport

After I built the armored personnel carrier from 'Aliens', I figured I also should take a shot at the Dropship as well. I simply didn't have the necessary parts to build a Dropship to scale that it could carry the APC previously built, but I did (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

  Lego NHL sets

Boy Lego really got lucky with their NHL licence. Doesn't look like they're going to drop the puck this year. I'm a big NHL fan and I like the look of the big hockey set. I'm likely to buy it for my boys - yeah that's it - I'm buying it for my sons. (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.sports)

  Re: SnowCat

Well done Mark, those Freddy Krueger hands are a nice touch. I know, they are for clawing through ice, or giant snow-mice or something.
