  Re: On retaining information...

(...) I have been told that the best way to learn something is to teach it. In this context you might try writing a report or article about what your learned. Imagine that you are trying to teach it to someone. This involves some time and you should (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.people)

Re: RCX Replacement Firmware - Performance Testing Results

(...) Snip That's very exciting news. What are your plans for distributing the super-charged frimware. I would be interested in trying it sometime. Will there be a web site or something like a sourceforge project? Lester (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LEGOfactory and LDraw

Hi all, Thanks to Ildefonso I have made a Favorites group for MLCad of the parts allowed to use in the LEGOfactory competion. I used his file posted in message (URL) So credit for sorting out the pieces go to him! Copy the bit between the ------- (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  LEGOfactory and LDraw

Hi all, Has anyone considered making the new "baseplates" in LDraw and creating a "Favorites" group for MLCad of the parts you are allowed to use in the competition? If not, I will attempt to do so. I think it would be fun to do the same in LDraw? (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: RCX Replacement Firmware - Performance Testing Results

This message summarizes performance testing of the replacement firmware compared to the Lego standard firmware. Several different NQC programs were downloaded from the web and their performance measured. Results were normalized so that Lego firmware (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Theatre Castillo

Nice work. It's a good rendition of what is a very difficult subject to render in minifig scale I look forward to seeing what improvements you can squeeze in for v3 (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.castle)

LEGODirect - Ordine berretti classic space annullato

cari fratelli in abiesse, purtroppo non è stato raggiunto il limite minimo. messi insíeme gli afols europei hanno ordinato circa 600 berretti, mentre il limite per una possibile produzione sarebbe stato di 1500. ciao w. (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: New MOC: YF-18 Orbital Interceptor

(...) I know what you mean. The actual time I've been taking over my latest model is just plain embaressing. I haven't even got that far either. I guess since its my second serious MOC and my first really carefully thought out one, I can be expected (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

(...) Weird - my recurring LEGO dream is very similar. I am in a Toys R Us (old-style with long aisles), and I find a bunch of 80s-era sets (in the yellow boxes) that never existed. Large Forestmen and Black Falcons sets are the most common "finds". (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

I just had another of my most common (and most tortuous) Lego dreams last night. I walked into my local consignment shop (which supplies me with around 80% of all the Lego I purchase) and they had a huge selection of old sets that I'd never seen (...)   Re: Rule check

(...) I forgot to put it in before, but in previous events, if two towers touched each other, that was acceptable. They still counted as two separate towers.   Re: Missing dat files??

  Re: GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam

(...) I'll agree with both your pros and your cons. The backpack looks great, I like the hands, and the upper body is exactly right. I don't think the legs need to be longer, but I think they would be improved if they were "beefier". If you built up (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tatsumaki

(...) This is really nicely done. I appreciate the in-progress shots, but with the black skeleton, it's a little hard to see the details. That's a lot of ball joints! Looks like an articulated "spine" too--he can do sit-ups? My suggestion--this mech (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Skeletal Balrog

(...) I really enjoyed this MOC, the piece usage was very creative (minifig arms as ribs, joints made of steer horns, I could go on), and you were very true to the miniature, as well. The pose sequence of going from a huddled-up state to (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
