  LEGO Bloopers and Practical Jokes

After spotting another blooper in a LEGO catalogue from a number of years ago I wondered if anyone had ever thought of creating a website to showcase mistakes that TLG has made in promotional materials, instructions, catalogues etc (all in the name (...)   Custom sets...

I think that The LEGO Group should let you use a santioned LEGO "Cad" program to comstruct a model, and then order those pieces as a "set". Basically they'd just polybag and ship them. Advantages to us: We can get any pieces we want, in any color. (...) (27 years ago, 25-Jun-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  RE:need 6 wide windshields

I don't usually look at for-sale stuff, but I decided to today bacause I wanted to see if anyone had any, wow!, six wide windshields for sale because I was curious what they would sell for. I really need some more since I need them for fire trucks. (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Mos Espa Pod Race discounted?

(...) Has anyone else seen these prices where they live? I'm just curious if it is worth a trip to the local Kmart (i.e. is this a local sale or one that is at all Kmarts?). Toki (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Acronym acrimony

(...) I would prefer "LG" as the "L" is intuitive. I think the "T" is in there just so folks don't have to type "the", as it's designation in the acronym is so that people reading know that the subject in question is the corporation or group of (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: wireless camera

(...) don't sweat that, I have the X10 home automation stuff, and have been on their mailing list for a while. They are NOTORIOUS for having these "HURRY!!   RE: wireless camera

(...) This device is really wireless. Check (URL) for details. It operates in the 2.4 GHz range. The basic transmitter/receiver set is $75 (VK22A). Tilman -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: wireless camera

First, sorry about that double post. I tabbed and hit enter, and I'm using a web browser, a fancy super futuristic program which can't make a tab when you hit the tab key. Secondly, I'm pretty positive this thing is wireless rather than over (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: wireless camera

(...) It is indeed a radio-based wireless camera, as the page states it operates in the 2.4GHz (ISM) range. Unsure what the power requirements are, it might be perfect for lego stuff if it doesn't suck too much power... TTYL, Omega Erik Walthinsen (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Black train wagon plate

Just cuz I'm curious, how much would a black train wagon plate set me back in $$ or pieces of comparable worth? I know this is different for different people, but probably not too different. I want one, and I'm testing the waters a little to see if (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: wireless camera

(...) ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS!!??? DOOD! That's an unfriendly deadline, but $150 is incredibly cheap for a small camera AND transmitter AND receiver. $350 is sort of average price.   RE: wireless camera

Well, I was looking at (URL) (IIRC) and noticed the 2.4GHz wireless that seem to be similar to what they are describing from X10. There are also 900Mhz wireless models that are cheaper but I bet they don't work as well (I have a 900Mhz set, and they (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)
