fast download with Serial-Tower is no faster

Just got my second RIS, a 1.5 with Serial-Tower this time. I did not installed any other software than the previous I had (Win98, JDK1.3, Lejos 2.0, USB Drivers for Lego-Tower). I have just set RCXTTY=COM1. Problem: when doing a "lejosrun -f (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

Re: carpenter needed for the map mosaic

Adrian, What you are asking for might be overkill. I would think some EMT conduit, a piece of tarp/canvas, and some rope to stretch the canvas tight should be more than enough. Portable, too. Basically, you would hang the mosaic from rope/cable (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest)

Re: lsynthcp community development project setup on sourceforge

Steven, Hopefully the sourceforge effort will also get some folks that can help me with the mathematical ins and outs of the effort. I contacted Michael about lsynthcp support in MLCAD, but he was already wrapping up the 3.0 release. I'm hoping that (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Now does this qualify as good Lego marketing?

(...) Where did you find this? In a retail shop? I was thinking that perhaps it was a gift from LEGO to some employee after 10 years of faithful service, or something of that ilk. That might make some sense. --Bill. (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  road baseplates 6322

Hello, Is there anyone who will be at the next BayLUG meeting (Sat Feb 8, 2003) who wants some of the 6322 road plates? These are the straight plates that have recently sold out of Shop at Home. I found a source of them. They are $6 or $7 plus tax. (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Inferior colour rendering in this year's instructions

While at LEGOLAND Windsor last year on 'business' I picked up a copy of the internal employee newspaper 'LEGO Life'. In it was an article about a new CAD system being introduced to create instruction diagrams, called 3D Vision. This year all the (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

RE: lsynthcp community development project setup on sourceforge

Kevin, Excellent idea. Using SourceForge will hopefully garner you some additional support and programming resources to allow you to further LSynth's development. When will LPub be moving to SourceForge? As an aside, I have been reviewing your new (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Privet drive car bumper

I have just split 4 1/2 price Privet Drive sets, purchased in the UK. I was shocked to find that in all of them the 1x2 grille tiles that form the car bumper were grey and not chrome/silver. Has anyone else noticed this? Huw (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.uk)

  More Megablok...

I don't get what the Lego Magazine's obsession is with featuring models made out of Megablok. (URL) not as bad as if it were a Megablok set, but still... And it was featured as the picture in a 'Set Reviewer contest.' -JHK (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

I could just put my head on my desk and fall asleep right now... Dunno if I'm gonna make it to 5 p.m., and then the ride into the Big Smoke. Oh well... 70 more minutes... Stay awake Dave.
