Re: Reference book for Handy Board

Guten Tag (hello in german) Yes, i think the book is a good way to learn a lot about robots. The software in the book is properly to use with the HB. I´m using the HB-Board too - and it makes a lot of fun ! Tschau and greetings from germany Bernd (...) (26 years ago, 20-May-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Random Jar Jar thought (non-spoiler, reviewish)

(...) Yeah I noticed that too - in the trailer even - it kinda got on my wick and I thought the same things. Now I'm not bagging anything Starwars - just constructive criticism don't you know!   Random Jar Jar thought (non-spoiler, reviewish)

Jar Jar moves around too much. He's always figiting. He never stands still. I know the temptation is to make CGI characters move around a bit, because heck, they're animated. But it begins to look odd when he's standing with a bunch of human actors (...) (26 years ago, 20-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  RE: Encoders

I modified the sencoder() routines to work with quad encoders and a direction decoding IC. the encoder_counts now returns the correct count. I removed the velocity variable from the routine as well. I think I changed encoder routines 2 and 4 and (...) (26 years ago, 20-May-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Master Grade Lego Models

Where on this earth did you get that many bricks? I know I have that many, but not in grey and Black. If I would to build this model it would come out nice and colorfull in red, yellow and blue and all. Needless to say: This is a supurb model, very (...)   Re: Palm Users?

(...) Yep. (...) Uh. Well, I don't get into much database stuff on mine... when I want to make a list like that, I tend to just use Memo Pad. Of course, I've never made a list with very many items in it. And after I acquired some of the "want" (...) (26 years ago, 20-May-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Well....the best o'luck to you with the exams. And get_your_passport! Or you'll never be able to visit LLB !   Re: No W

(...) We used to play this game, though only with the regular breed of Bug. Our version was called "Herbie," after the lamentable Disney movie of the same name that starred a VW. You'd say "Herbie [color]" and get a point; convertables were prized (...) (26 years ago, 20-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Ah, yes. I saw it at once when I got home and pushed "wireframe mode". Thanks for the hint. (...) Yes, I should probably do that.   Re: No W

Yea, I call it "slug bug" as well. But we play a different game.   Re: Endor Luke

  A good LEGO day ...

Today was a good LEGO day. I was out of town on business, ended up with a bit of time to spare and much to my surprise, found some older sets.
