  Re: Top 1000 noisemakers

Re: Air transportation of RCXs etc

Does anyone have any first-hand experience of electronic equipment being damaged by airport X-rays in carry-on or checked baggage? Is it just an urban myth? My understanding is that although individual X-ray photons have high energy, so few are used (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Woo hoo, #698! (just thought I'd offer a slightly larger number than most who have replied). Then again, I only started posted a couple months ago. -Greg "Fox" Cook (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.people, lugnet.admin.nntp)

  Re: Happy birthday, Minifig!

(...) It's good if you're female, horrible for a male. :) But I can understand the discrepancy, look at the themes we've had thus far: Pirates, very few female pirates historically Castle, females are restricted to the Queen/Princess/waitress roles (...)   10017 Mini-Hopper

Due to the small size of my living arrangment, my goal is to include only four-wheeled waggons on my layout. Unable to give up the beautiful 10017 hopper, I shrunk the design to the two-axle version seen here... (URL) keeps the exact same opening (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Securities Firm and Statue Maker's Marketplace

Hi all, Here are two more medieval marketplaces. First off is the Securities Firm. (URL) (all ready moderated). This is a new concept for the marketplace, being both an extra wide store and two corner stores facing in. I figured it would be a cool (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: 8431 Sold Out -- "DISCONTINUED", says SAH!!!

(...) Thanks for checking this out, Adrian. I'm not surprised by the response considering there would probably be some expense in moving the stock around across regions. Does anyone reading this thread know of any precedent for a set being available (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Revised Jamabalaya Space Box list and other info

(...) I've had this since the 27th. Shipping out to Canada today. Cost was a whopping 18 dollars! I was told at the post office I HAD to rebox. So I did. I cut apart the decorative bits from the old box and put them in the new. After butchering (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Brick Sorting

  Re: NQC 2.5 a4 released

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) My experience is it's all about how much Lego you've got. If you've got a collection that's less than, say, 3,000 pieces, you probably don't really even need to sort. In the end I think what it boils down to is how large of a bin/box/drawer (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Pod just not practical? Try a Cube...

(...) filler pieces work really well too, like a way of color-coding the cubes. They strike me as a great way to do cargo containers. And there I was at TRU, looking at Lego discounted by 70%... not buying because the set consisted largely of these (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
