  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Alex, The technique used depends on the size of your collection. After a certain point, putting all of a color in a bin becomes excessively difficult to use especially with black. Obviously the "perfect" sort would have all pieces sorted by (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.storage)

  Brick Sorting

Being the New Year and all, I made but one resolution that I truly want to carry out: sorting my Lego collection. Scanning through Brickshelf, I've noticed a lot of pictures with an array of sorting bins, containers, boxes, etc. My question to the (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: 2 new parts in new racer sets

(...) I must agree with this...I think the 1 x 2/1 x 4 bracket has also appeared in the <set:10030 Imperial Star Destroyer> in dark gray. The other part you mentioned I believe is totally new...but I could be wrong. There are a few other Racers sets (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.general)

  Re: Lando and Mace

As I sit here slightly addled from the evening's festivities (check the date and hour), I have to wonder how this bit of news is not THEE item of hot discussion. I can't believe that TLC finally conceded that mini-yellow is/was not meant to (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

2 new parts in new racer sets

Hi all, Here in Denmark some small new racer-sets have been available for a couple of weeks (sets 8358, 8359, 8360). There are some useful new parts: In set 8359 a light grey bracket (like part 2436) - not 1x2/1x4 though, but 1x2/2x2. In set 8358 a (...)   Re: Lego introduces L-gauge

OK, I'll claim it. I've been using this term since late 1997. I first mentioned this in a post in 1998, (URL) I kept getting the "What gauge is this?" question from model railroader's and I finally just said "L". That of course opened up the (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

All LEGO Be Mine (Auld Lang Syne)

  Re: Rule clarification.....

(...) There are people who had longer than 12" crossers, but that fits within the diagonal length from opposing corners of a cube.   Re: Air transportation of RCXs etc

My laptop goes through these things all the time. I wouldn't expect the Xray machine to harm anything in your RCX at all. Especially if it is off. As to whether it looks like it's a bomb, on Xray it'll probably look more like a Walkman. I wouldn't (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)
