Morning!- I've been looking for an accurate ldraw to 3ds converter, but have been unimpressed so far. I was wondering if a model exported from PovRay into a 3DS format would wind up rendering the polygons better, but haven't been able to find a (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Ultimately this may be the best thing to happen. There's some understanding and a whole lot of us learned something from it. I wonder though, where do you plan to go from here? hi Manfred, this looks great, finally a "real" freeware version (I never succeeded in getting the other (Belgium) freeware). Just started the program and try to run it with a very old Dynalink camera under winXP, it worked right away. I don't have a (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.vc)

But the problem with that argument is that, in the case mentioned, the notecard had been copyrighted. If somebody went and stole the design, he could get into trouble for copyright infrigment. I just noticed that L3P and LDRAW Viewer do not play well together. Running an LDRAW Viewer file through L3P produces a ".pov" file that contains only 1 black brick. On a hunch, I ran the LDRAW Viewer file through BBEdit and saved the file with Unix (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
