Re: Multiple parts was Re: Mac LDraw Viewer comments

(...) Yes, you just drag from the parts list with the mouse. 0.7 will have translucent drag images. (...) This is due to Apple eliminating QuickDraw3D. What you see in Classic is QuickDraw3D rendering. In Carbon, it is duplicated by Quesa, which is (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Cool Site Of The Week

(...) I think Avolonnia is an excellent site by far, and the layout is nicely divided into their respective sections. (making navigation quick and easy.) The photos are pretty nice as well. :) However, when do you plan to complete the translation? (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

  RCX/Spybotics/Scout communication

Having read the messages in the various newsgoups, I must admit I'm a little puzzled. I've seen a lot of discussion about IR communication, but I don't think I have a straight answer. I have an RCX, a Scout, and some Spybotics under the Christmas (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.scout)

I know that the terms of use for lugnet prohibits advertising, but I assume it permits anti-advertising :) The item identified in this post will not act as a flame sensor. It is a proximity sensor which works by emitting its own IR illumination (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: SW MiniBust-- Tusken Raider

Oooh, nifty. This one's even cooler. I like how there's no brick around the 1x1 eye cylinders - gives a real feel of depth and shadow. And the minifig arms work well in this one. He's done it again! -Chris (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Vincent, I think I know of something that will fit what you want exactly. John Barnes ((URL) makes an InfraRed sensor that supposedly works over a range of 1-7 inches. Sensor info here: (URL) that helps, ~Mike (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Andreas' big foot 4x4 truck - WOW!!!! A marvel of raw mechanical proficiency!

It's reminiscent of Tamiya's radio-controlled "Bullhead" monster truck, but with the nice fact that the motors are located within the chassis and not beside the axles. I still (...) Here's a "me too." It's just too close to a ranking system. For those who don't churn out content that often, or have a less refined building style, a Hall of Fame or Top Builders List may seem too exclusive. I would prefer to see something more (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)
