  Re: All UK Groups subscribed?

(...) Well, I've thought about this more, and there's really nothing I can do (that's 100% safe) to correct the problem with the article counts. They simply permeate the system too deeply, and it would take many hours of grueling fancy-footwork to (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: 99-03 Voting: Quick Comments

(...) I wish I knew for a _fact_ that this is (was) the case, but I can't say so with any certainty. I would suppose that using an existing mold to create an axle, and then cutting threads into the element, makes a lot more sense than trying to (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: A recursion question/test...

Actually, it came from a conversation I was having about how "religious" some people are about technology. My stance was that there is no supreme hardware or software, they all suck in their own unique way. "So what you're saying is that you are a (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: All UK Groups subscribed?

(...) Naw, nobody's in trouble... Richard and Simon were just trying to be helpful. I just reckon there are much cleaner solutions. --Todd (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: All UK Groups subscribed?

(...) [Pardon me for the apparent harsh tone -- it's not actually harsh -- what follows is a very serious question, not a wise-crack...] How could someone possibly find a tiny local group and manage to post to it, yet not realise that there is a (...)   Re: All UK Groups subscribed?

(...) Actually, I think I may to have to figure out a way to revert the article counts all back to 2 after all, in order to clean up this situation most properly. Check out what happened: (URL) all of the numbers to the right of the names were blank (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: All UK Groups subscribed?

(...) Spam doesn't have to be commercial to be spam. In Usenet, what Richard did is a particular type of spam known as "excessive multiposting" (although I haven't looked yet to see whether it was a single crossposted message or the same message (...) Can anybody tell me the pins config in the MC34064, because I am using the MC34064 as a susbtitute of the DS1233. Thanks Daniel ---...--- " `BETTER´ IS THE ENEMY OF `GOOD ENOUGH´" ---...--- (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: TPM Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

(...) Sapience and sentience indeed aren't the same thing--sentience is the ability to perceive and discern by the senses, while sapience is knowledge or wisdom. Many argue (granted, most are in PETA) that mammals--or all animals--are sentient at (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: All UK Groups subscribed?

(...) I'll try to get them all deleted before the daily digests go out. If anyone is receiving the groups via e-mail in an instantaneous way, I'm afraid the damage has already been done and their inboxes will already have been flooded. --Todd (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
