  Re: "fake metroliners"

One still cannot easily obtain gray train plates, *except* that as it is I am selling off some. If anyone wants some, contact me via email. -John (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

Proposed building areas - land grab time!!

(...) I think baseplate chunks doled out to each person is the best compromise. Fill your chunk with appropriate buildings and we'll slot it in. OK, who wants which building chunks? Here's a key plan with numbers so we can all tell which bit we're (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Astro Lift HA150 Heavy Artillery

Hi Trevor, There's just something about that li'l ship. It has a neat shape with those UFO 1/4 saucers. I like the small wing/fins that stick out on the sides. Personally, I'd figure out something other than the little 2x2 "landing gear" bits on the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Oh my, Mr. Emperor...

Hi Claus. This has already been discussed in about four other threads. Try reading lugnet.starwars if you'd like to catch up on some of that discussion. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Building organisation methods

(...) I think that's a good idea. If we put the oil tanks down by the airport they can provide fuel for the planes, and over on the right side is about teh nearest we can get the back of the office building to the edge of the layout so people can (...)   Astro Lift HA150 Heavy Artillery

I just got my AuczillaXII winnings the other day [many thanks, Todd! :) ], and so I pieced together this little heavy artillery ship. It's a little fuzzy cuz I used my IXLA640 digital piece of crap. Please, comments would be appreciated. I'm trying (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Why I HATE Lego

Maybe you could substitute something? Like, say, Ninja kites? Uh... Milimy wings? Um... Leftover baggies, natch... Shrinky-dinks? Yay Mets... (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New click hinge

(...) Agreed! Those are an interesting twist on click hinges. Take a close look at most of the models on any page and you'll see them. Click hinges are included in virtually every 2001 model, so it looks like they are here to stay. Personally, I'm (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Why I HATE Lego

(...) Dude! NOBODY bid on 2 copies of Basic 725 that were on ebay last week! 725 has a pair of those. It is the kind of Freestyle set that puts all others to shame. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 2001 sets

(...) They are all foaming at the mouth about it in the technics group, but personally I didn't think it was so bad. (...) I think most women would agree with that assumption :-) Kerry (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: No speculations here about 2002 sets...

Calm down a bit. Over the past few years, Lego has been releasing new sets, catalogs, and set information over the entire model year -- so, this catalog does not represent the entire line. Last year, Lego made the mistake of hinting at two upcoming (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general)

  Re: Building organisation methods

(...) I'm using a curved plate because then I can have the trucks use it as a drive way and loading zone. I still have to build the equipment. You've got the corner store and office building WAY back (5') in the corner where it won't be seen. I (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Why I HATE Lego

(...) While I can't come very close to building it, had I got started several years ago, there would have been a good possibility of doing it. 10 Breezeway Cafes and about 15 Sand Dollar Cafes would have provided all the curved glass parts. Those (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New parts for 2001?

Classic Space set design and building contest

I grew up on classic Space (1978-1986) and I still have a huge soft spot in my heart for old simple smileys and single-color astronaut uniforms. It's seeming more and more like the LEGO Space System product line (originally LEGOLAND Space, followed (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce) !!

  Re: Why I HATE Lego

I have 3 or four of the corner big ones, but no straight ones. I think I have 6 of the small straight ones. I've seen a few of the straight large ones (never more than about 3) on MOCs at some town web sites. I can't remember where though. We'd have (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Timmy has competition

I don't mind this insanely happy fig. He kinda reminds me of that guy that's always screaming on the Dilbert cartoon show. I don't mind that Lego is creating people with personalities. I mean, how much personality can you instill in a fig that looks (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
