Re: IR Line of Sight (was: Re: Fw: RcxCC Joystick controls)

This is similar to what I have done. My IR tower is on a table, about 2.5 feet off the ground. It faces the center of the room, bouncing off a wall that is about 10-12 feet from the tower. The RCX is lying flat on the top of the robot platform, and (...) (27 years ago, 8-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RcxCC Joystick controls

I am surprised at this. With my IR tower set to long range, I can communicate with the RCX in the next room regardless of which way it is facing. I cannot download firmware, but I can control it well enough for the joystick commands to make it (...) (27 years ago, 8-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Cyber Master Purchase

No, I have MindStorms, I want to get a hold of CyberMaster also. There was someone on the list who had mentioned that he would purchase and ship CyberMaster to the US(for a fee of course). Thank You, Clay Aucoin, caucoin@cruiseshoppes.com (...) (27 years ago, 8-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Are there any Soccer sets still out there?

Have any shops still got stocks? (except the starter sets - I know of plenty of those). LMK? Thanks in advance, Jon. (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

IR Transmission Range when bounced off of Ceiling...

Someone may have tried this experiment already, but I figured I'd give it a shot and post the results. The setup: IR Tower pointed straight up at a White Stucco'ed Ceiling from 8" above ground level (at sensor front). Used RcxCC's "Watching the RCX" (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Shell promotion is over - what happens to the stock???

All the promotional Lego sets were supplied to the garages on sale-or-return... Anyone know where the unwanted stock is off to, now that the promotion is over? Shell HO? TLG? Will it turn up as an offer in the Lego Club magazines? Will it head for (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  RE: StarWars mindstorm?

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that lego had a license to make star-wars toys. This was a while ago, but I'm not sure what the lego product cycle is like (time from initial plan to retail), so I've been keeping an eye out for sets. A mindstorms (...)   Dear Lego: Some Solar Panels

I think that it would be a great idea to have solar panels that are compatable with the RCX so that my atonomous robots don't have to stop when the batteries go flat! Regards, John Keating. (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)
