Re: 8458 Silver Champion is incredible!

(...) I have a couple questions: Where did you get it? Was it worth the US$160? Are there any actual silver parts, or are there just silvery-grey side panels? BTW, you can soften the 8448 suspension even further by substituting standard shocks for (...) (26 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: new "icon" for dixielug gallery account

(...) Trust me, you don't want me to do that. The data file I created was pretty good, up to the point I did the brim. Viewed from "head on", it looks OK. Viewed from the side (as it would be if I twisted it 90 degrees for Bubba), it doesn't look so (...) (26 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.us.dixielug)

  Re: Linux & RCX mini-HOWTO- comments/thoughts?

(...) Ah, you meant to the serial ports. That makes more sense (to me) now. (...) <pouts> That's unusual. I trust our gurus to be better than theirs. :) (...) Yes, I believe that /dev/modem is (at least under RH) linked to /dev/ttyS0 by default. (...) (26 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  The Deep Void? Where's everyone?

  Idle Powerdown

I've successfully implemented an idle powerdown into the legOS kernel. On more than one occasion I have left my RCX on overnight, resulting in the need to buy a new set of batteries. The tricky part was doing a successful powerdown from within the (...) (26 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Linux & Lego, Take 2

At the same URL as before ( (URL) ) I've put up version 0.2 of the mini-HOWTO. It fixes a few minor bugs, adds one more major option (TCL) and also adds a section for stuff like LeoCAD that are useful even if not directly relevant. Of course, that (...)   Re: Got the Flu... : (

(...) Most 'flu type things are airborne. One sick person breathes out, and a nearby healthy person breathes it in, so you really have to be sharing the air with a sick person. Most of these things aren't likely to survive outside the human body (...) (26 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: new part - minifig Cowboy hat (Stetson)
