  1986 McDonalds Promo Sets

I have most of a case of each of two Lego sets from a 1986 McDonald's Happy Meal promotion. Specifically, I have the last two sets in the four-set series. See them here: (URL) quite recently, I was unable to follow eBay with any regularity, and have (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: 2001 Set info

In lugnet.lego.direct, Todd Lehman writes: It can also open you up to legal issues. By the way what are the legal issues ? I printed out the new set Information when it briefly appeared on the Lego Site I could scan it and publish it in Lugnet. Is (...)   Re: 2001 Set info

(...) I've got to champion Todd on this one. He's in a difficult position, given that he's admin of what is not only the most prominent fan site devoted to LEGO, but the *only* one that handles LEGO writ large (FBTB [1] and the like are theme (...)   Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) Yes - but that wouldn't be a funnel shape - it would need to be a 'retro-reflector' that reflects all light back to it's source - no matter the direction. That's why I was babbling on about the retroreflective tape they have on kids clothes (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Do you mean why does LUGNET have this policy/requirement as part of the T&C? Because it benefits the community more in the long run to have this requirement in place than not to have it. Or, from a site survivalist point of view, it benefits (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.terms)

  Re: NMRA 2000 Successful

Wow, great stuff. I liked everything, but I also must add that I LOVED your diner. Every once and a while when I see a model I exclaim "I wish I had thought of that!" So, now I'll just have to be inspired by it. I am definately going to build one. (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

RE: Booth monitors and crowd control

How about a sign supported by plastic 1 or 1-1/2"pipe going diagonally from corner to corner about 10-12 feet up with a cloth banner. Fred's logo sign could replace the lame bag I brought. Mark (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

(...) A Legalo man is a man who likes Lego but is concerned with Lego Legal matters. A Lego man isn't. His world is building Lego and unless Lego bring out minifig lawyers he has no interest in Lego Legal issues. Tim (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.general)

I agree with Todd's recent actions

Todd did the right thing in removing the price lists for the unreleased LEGO sets. Information was posted to this server which was of questionable origin. It is unclear whether or not the poster had the right to publish the information, and if LEGO (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)
