Re: Will there be more Castle in 2001 ?

(...) Harry Potter probably will take the place of regular castle, like the Fright Knights did. (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Ultimate Accessory Set @ Bluewater

(...) Not sure of the price, but my local TRU had it too yesterday. The also had the "Race" sets too. I went to get a look at the new version of toolo - £50 for the biggest set (!) (...) I'm with you on that. Scott A (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Polybag sets wanted

Hi Tom, One thing for sure, if anyone asks me what pieces I'd like more of, I'll just direct them to your want list. Probably the only item I have plenty of is the grey metroliner doors, but I'd be after more than a 3333 in exchange for a pair. Mark (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Ray tracing programs

Hi I have begun walking down the lego modelling and raytracing path. I am modelling up a few items in LEOCAD, and I would like to render them. I have installed POVRAY and require the converting files. Q. Am I correct in needing the L2P.exe (LGEO (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Cheap and nasty clone at Co-op

I don't know how many of you venture into teh Co-op/Pioneer for groceries but at the moment there's a really unpleasent Lego clone free with 160 Co-op 99 Tea bags. Amusing disclaimer on top - "These bricks have been manufactured for CWS [if I recall (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  RE: The Human Brain

I know that I shouldn't post a simple "I agree!" but... well :> I will post it anyway ;) (ok, I'll try to add something "new" to it) (...) I must say that I share the views expressed here by Thomas. I also share the views of Laurentino Martins, (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Action Sellers' Warning - New York Times

After a number of posts about problems with Ebay auctions and non-paying / fraudulent bidders, non-responsive sellers, etc. I thought people might want to check into the article published by the New York Times on Thursday concerning the fact that (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: who's feelin the black pack?

(...) Well then, should "white" folks view the release of a yellow skinned Luke, Han, etc. as a slap in the face? I have never, ever seen a yellow person (except for the time I had a VERY bad fever and became jaundiced). How dare they portray the (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Problem (was Re: Velux promotional set (1854) buying)

(...) Yep. I acquired a taste for Newkie a few years back when I was on a project with a chap from Newcastle. I know some in the UK don't consider it a proper beer but I'm a wus and find Guinness a bit too strong for my palate. I had a screensaver (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Dining downunder (was Re: Pricing on Lego Sets)

(...) I scoped those and they both sound good to me. Thai is a favorite of mine (and of any programmer worth anything, according to the Jargon Dictionary) as is Italian.   Re: Dining downunder (was Re: Pricing on Lego Sets)

(...) Whew! the first time I read that I thought it said "How about we feed Larry **TO** some local fauna?" and I was getting worried. ++Lar (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  An interesting diversion - speech!

I spent this weekend interfacing the Sensory Voice Direct 364 speech recognition device to the RCX as a sensor. Technically, it wasn't that hard. The device has 8 outputs which switch from a logic 0 to a logic 1 as each of 8 words are detected. Then (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: RC control on Pneumatics, gearboxes and polarity switches

(...) I'm not entirely sure if Tobbe was referring to the "traditional" type of mobile crane setup here - I rather get the impression, although I may be wrong, that he is intent on making a "logging truck", with a crane similar to that you get for (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: tubing

(...) Cool. Where can I read about scaling? It sounds like I just need to take one of the ends and scale it to the length I need (in this case a span of 26 studs worth of bricks from one end of the brick to the other). ++Lar (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: tubing  [DAT]

(...) If the ends are covered, you don't need to worry too much about the end points. So you can take on of the end points and scale it to your needs, as you say. You can start with this line: 1 16 -40 1 0 0 -20 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 76.DAT and change the (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)
