  Re: Lego Blimp Project

How about more of a cable car mechanism? It would take a lot less infrastructure. By suspending your robot from the ends of three cables which are anchored in different corners of the room, you could reach more areas of the room. (...) -- ___...___ (...)   Banging on the tasker

(...) That's my plan. The nice thing about the tasker is that people can write code in a format they are more used to. The same things can be done with event driven single task code but it inverts the control flow. It is more meaningful for most (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Communication system

Check out Kam Leang's page at (URL) His robotics: information pages show exactly how to do this. Regards, Jim Munro <jimmn@xnet.com> (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Sounds great. If I can arrange to be in town for the June/July date, I'll gladly participate. I have plenty of straight track and points that I could bring for a trial garage setup and a show. My current layout is 3 4'x8' tables that hold as much (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: Where are these survey answers coming from? (was: New Survey up for LEGO)

(...) Absolutely, I do as well. (I hope it didn't sound as though I was trying to prod Tim for information -- my only point is, as a hardcore LEGO and Star Wars fan, I think it's really odd behavior for LEGO, so I can't put much weight on it. I do (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Lego Loco

Last night I noticed my local Zany Brainy has Lego Loco (I think that is the right name for the computer game) on sale for $9.99. They had the Lego Frinds CD as well. Also $9.99. -Nick (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LDRAW for Mac; was: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

(...) Have you been to the "LDraw for the Macintosh Campaign" website? (URL) don't think they have source to LDraw itself but there seems to be a growing interest in some sort of Mac version. --Todd [followups to lugnet.cad.dev] (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

I haven't posted an inventory in a while, and I just compiled this one, so I figured I'd share with anyone who cares. And the rest of y'all, too. Note: this inventory is compiled from the *instructions*, as viewed through Brickshelf. Don't assume (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

What the? (Was: Re: 50 Megs of web space for $9.95 a month!)

(...) Um.........sorry if this has happened before but, was this approved by Todd to be posted on Lugnet? Or is it just a spam program that hacked into Lugnet? I'm confused. Erin -- (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

Those are high intensity flame throwers. They redirect waste fuel and heat from the reactor and spew it out all over unfortunate enemy soldiers. These mechas run very hot, and need to dissipate heat.   UCS X wing Sticker solution...

It seems so obvious now, yet the instruction scans don't hint at this. I'll be it was shown on the back of the original box along with the alternate model pictures. Cool!   Re: Where are these survey answers coming from? (was: New Survey up for LEGO)

(...) I don't either -- that's why I wrote "Can you tell us...?" rather than "Please tell us..." (...) That says it all right there. As a Star Wars fan and a LEGO fan, I can now take the survey seriously. Thanks. --Todd (26 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: neither sponsored nor endorsed by the LEGO Company? (was : Re: an update -- and an apology)

(...) Todd is right IMO. "Sponsorship" in the disclaimer means a formal contractual relationship, and usually accompanies significant financial support.
