  Crossbow with Quiver?

Hi, Would it make sense if a minifig had a quiver but carried a crossbow? I'm sure that's where he'd put his bolts, but the grey crossbow + brown quiver looks awfully strange... Good thing there are brown crossbows available in the new Castle sets (...) (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Probable effect of GST on LEGO

The way I see it, Lego SHOULD decrease in cost by about 10%. This is due to the way the GST is worked: Currently, each set is imported by LA. This is then sold to the retailer with 22% wholesale sales tax. The RRP is then 40% on top of this price. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Crossbow with Quiver?

(...) Hmm... maybe a black quiver (indians sets) with a grey crossbow wouldn't look too bad... -Shiri (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Probable effect of GST on LEGO

Nicely explained, I like the diagrammatic use of arrows. BUT can you use them arrows to logically explain why we aren't getting the soccer sets in Australia? Even my sister pointed them out in the catalogue and asked me to get her some. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Duplex Comms with RCX

(...) Fair enough. It's too bad it doesn't have an always-on mode. (...) Definitely agreed. I'll be patient. (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.tele, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Scans of 1960's ads

(...) Huh. That's worth complaining to them about. Thanks for the direct links. (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Crossbow with Quiver?

(...) I think it looks OK... In fact, #4811 (Defense Archer) includes a brown quiver with the soldier. Of course, the crossbows are mounted on a special stand instead of being held... Chris (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Probable reason for our poor/small range (was RE: Probable effect of GST on LEGO)

Possible explanation of why we don't get soccer sets in Aus (There could be some minor errors in this, but I believe [based on past phone-calls to LA] that it is accurate): In order to get Lego sets in Australia, TLG sends images of all sets being (...) (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  LDAO Minifig Modeler

So, I've been away from all of this Lego modelling craziness for a while, but recently the bug bit me again,[1] and I started downloading all of the bits and setting up Virtual PC. I have LDraw and the latest updates, LDLite, LDAO, etc. installed (...) (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Duplex Comms with RCX

(...) It seems to me that, given the current hardware, the choices are: send junk or let the tower go dead. My thinking is that if you send junk and trample something, so be it; the tower would have gone dead anyways, forcing you to lose whatever it (...) Hi, I just finished off my first Ninja-themed building. It actually ended up being the largest building in my city (at 13 stories). Here is a picture: (URL) is a link to my main web page: (URL) me know what you think! Brad (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: 8880 Supercar Performance Upgrades

(...) First, it isn't real, it's a parody of aftermarket tuning for real cars... and if you hop around to some sites regarding that topic, I think you'll find that $6499.00 is a reasonable price for a complete twin-turbo kit :) J (26 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)
