(...) Okay, okay, OKAY!! You guys got me, I was just trying to make a point but _Never mind_! ;-) -Shiri (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

LEGO on par with Oscar award

The other night my husband (whoops, I mean NLSO) was watching a Dateline NBC segment in which they were interviewing the child actor who is up for an Oscar for his role in The Sixth Sense. When asked what he would do if he won the Oscar he replied, (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.general) !

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

Based on the 1x2 tile with center stud, I would really like to have 2x4 tiles with one row of centered studs (4 studs down the middle long ways). This piece would be great for adding detail to structures. My idea is to use them between rows of 2x (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: LEGO on par with Oscar award

(...) ROFL! Thanks for makin' my day, Maggie! -Shiri, who would store _her_ Oscar in the closet, while leaving the lego outside ;-) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

(...) I agree, fully and completely. I have actually thought of this before, but was at loss as to how I'd describe it... :oP ...my English isn't as good as I'd like it to be. :-. I'd want Nx3x1 slopes (@ *45* angle) with top MIDDLE studs, in order (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Maglev Train

That's VERY cool. Not being privy to a monorail set, I've been trying to build an elevated railway for a long time now. I never thought about the possibility of using the toothed rails as the driving mechanism. Alan Gerber (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Several new pictures and buildings on my web site

The Aquanaut Hydro-Crystalization set ( 6199) has the 2 domes and two of the green tinted, arched, clear panels. I bought two of them at their full price of about $90! You can now get them at various places (including www.zainybrainy.com ) for only (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: Non-gray castles or "What I did with all the bulk bricks"

(...) Right. :) (...) Those are the name for the holes in a gatehouse floor. There is another name for the ones on the parapets, but I can't remember the word... I think it starts with "mach"... Hmm... time to find some of my castle guidebooks... (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Future Wild West Possibilities

I just recieved an email from Jon Furman that included jpegs of his homemade nubian minifigs. They are really the motts and anyone who has followed this conversation that has not requested to recieve them from him really should get in touch. Also, (...)   Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!

(...) Hrmmmm - I'm a little miffed I didn't get a call (I could have used some 6078's) but I don't agree with this. Just think about it. They know the stuff is coming in. They call two people who agree to buy all of some items. Those items come in (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !

  Re: Online eProxy services?

(...) They only cost a penny if you don't pay them off at the end of the month. (...) You mean like a check card? They've been around for a while - I've got one for each of my checking accounts. Works just like a Visa/MC but draws from your checking (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Online eProxy services?

(...) Actually, credit card companies just take advantage of the greed and stupidity of people who aren't wise enough to manage their finances correctly. :) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ebay acution - Potential Fraud?

(...) Looks like he pinched it right off your eBay listing, without even going to your website, and thus, without seeing your copyright notice. It's eBay. It happens. Heck, I've done it with pictures of Gameboys and other things before. (...) Well, (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Ebay acution - Potential Fraud?

(...) Can you show us how he MUST have gone to your main page and copied it from there, instead of just fleecing it from your auction page? Because I just saved both images from the auction listings only and they're identical. He probably never saw (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Sonar

(...) That sounds correct. Someone else asked about that last year. Try searching the mailing list archives. The problem is not just that the result is an integer, but that it's a signed integer. You effectively only get 15 bits of information out (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Ebay acution - Potential Fraud?

(...) Because the image shown in ebay is linked to my website, its not on ebays. Therefore by copying it, albeit whilst perhaps viewing it via ebay, he is copying it from my web site. (...)   Re: Ebay acution - Potential Fraud?

(...) No we dont. But given the position of lugnet members in general to protecting TLC'c copyright, I would expect members to understand my position in defending mine Perhaps not of such commercial impact, but copyright is copyright. And this guy (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: sonar mapping with evidence grid

(...) Yep, about 30 degrees. There's a pretty good article about how to deal with it on the Seattle Robotics Society web site: (URL) it out before somebody decides to delete it! One thing they don't really discuss in the article is how much extra (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
