  Re: First appearances of colours

(...) No, those are trans yellow. Blacktron's colour scheme is Black/(trans) Yellow with a bit of trans Red. If I recall correctly, even the technic wheel pins on the Battrax were black instead of grey. (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Proportion of bad bidders on eBay?

(...) That's really what I do--I use tough language in the general auction, but I gauge each individual bidder's position and situation once we get the money-ball rolling. I start from toughness and soften, because that's a lot easier IMHO than (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Feedback.....

(...) The "power users" are the ones with really high feedback levels--I'm not above 25 yet either, don't feel bad (although you're now at 25, you're welcome ;) ). I think it's much more important to be both above 10 and have all (or almost all) (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Why I hate Lego

After getting home with 13 of the big tubs this weekend I wanted to challenge myself with the hardest thing I could think of that people would recognize. I casually thought I would try my had at the Eiffel tower using just basic blocks. After a few (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Building A Better Page

was another reason I started coding my own pages with notepad. They're still a bit rough, but they get the point across. I'm not real good with HTML but I have an old book for HTML 3.2. I noticed you said you use Notepad. I know that its mainly (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: My EMD SD40-2

(...) Ya know, I never thought of it (the acronym) that way, but that's a very decent angle (1) as well -- and very closely related to SNOTs as pieces, to boot. Perhaps a better acronym would indicate an aversion to stud-oriented thinking, or an (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building A Better Page

(...) I started out using the page builder. After a few months I felt that the page builder wasn't doing the things that I wanted, so I started doing my own page building with pure HTML. (...) The only custom graphics that I use are my MOC pictures. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Disingenuous eBay advertising posts

(...) Using a standard newsreader client for RTL enables filters and killfiles to be used at ones discretion. When traffic on RTL was high (Pre-lugnet) I had many, many filters turned on to take out all stuff like FA, FS, FT, Auction, Sale, and (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

FS: Lots of CHEAP New SW Sets From My FOTY!

Hi everyone- What a day! What a week! It was like one of those “Lego Aisle Dreams” people have been talking about in .general, except it was **real**!!! This is easily my Find Of The Year, which says a lot considering that I had two major clearance (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Once Again, Legoville...

Legoville has a lot of custom made signs, but they don't stick very well because all I use is typing paper and rubber cement. I want to get sticker paper, but where the @$%*! do I get that? (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Once Again, Legoville...

I've toyed around with the idea of making a hybrid city, but it just doesn't stick. I'm a Town fanatic, and I doubt that will ever change. Besides, how do you intergrate Space Port and Space? The two themes are generations apart! (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Can You Top LEGO Customer Service?

(...) I stand corrected--I was thinking of the top bow-plate with walls, not the standard plate. best Lindsay (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

I'd file it under "Someone is screwing with them for that deadbeat bidders comment". But then that is just me.... Troy Kevin Wilson <70641.507@compuserve.com> wrote in message news:38B75072.3E7E8E...rve.com... (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Feedback.....

(...) Funny, I have this exact same problem. My feedback number should be double what it is and I always leave feedback unless the deal is not quite right. Withholding feedback on a well-done deal does not sit too well with me. If it has anything to (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Ingenous eBay advertising posts

(...) Well.. I've found that flogging on the "days in between" doesn't do much, if anything. I just flog at the beginning and the last-but-one day and that does make a difference. I also have settled on 5 day auctions for most things because really (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: $9 Blimp for $100 on eBay (was: Bi-wing Baron $2 at Walmart)
