(...) There is no user memory from 0x4000 to 0x8000 - It's all ROM space but it might not be used. I look at things in terms of replacement firmware, and the RCX is very flexible in this regard. The RAM for replacement firmware starts at 0x8000. (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: stl2dat conversion tool beta2

(...) STL only support triangles. Nurbs (and other geometry) must be converted by the CAD software to triangles. That's why I choosed STL : it already contains triangles and that's very near LDraw format. (In a geometric point of view) (...) Yes, I (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: TRU.com Xmas fiasco

(...) I did not get a small order ($20) placed 11/2?/99 until sometime in January and they gave me $25.00 (still haven't used), which I thought was more than nice of them. I hope they start delivering better service, though. (...) I would hope any (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: TRU.com Xmas fiasco

(...) Hmm. Iwould hope that any lawsuit brought against them would go through, and be enough of a penalty to set a precedent. It might actually prompt other companies going online to put some time and effort into making sure their ecommerce setup is (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Mech terminology

Say, is there a good guide around anywhere to mech terminology, especially weapon types? One of the notations I've seen a lot of, for instance, is "SRM##", where the ##'s seem to be the count of rockets (i.e., SRM8 or SRM20). At this point, I can (...) (...) The latter. I was trying to phrase the sentiment in the most unconfusing way possible, but it appears I failed miserably. Nuts. In short: The piece isn't new for 2000; it is new for 2000 in dark grey, but it is not first available for the (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)
