  Re: Come See the BeltWars!

Very cool models, especially the mechs; very detailed and anime-inspired. Keep on building and updating your website, I can't wait to see what you have next! (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space)

  Re: Boilers

James is right, but I still like the way they look. L, you're right, those star wars elements even kind of look like a grate looking into the firebox. I could see using these boilers inside a small machine shed in an older factory. The problem with (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

  Rotation sensor

Hi ! I am trying to make a gray code rotation sensor using hardware from an old mouse. The circuit needed to drive the photo transistor should be the same as for your rotation sensor URL: (URL) do however don't quite understand the photo resistor (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Star Wars a loss for Lego?

(...) Yeah, no kidding. Especially when you have to pay $50-$60 to get the set with DV's TIE. I think it would be great if they released a set where you could build either a TIE or TIE Interceptor. But I suppose it'd keep profits up if they were (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

Hi all, I've gotten surprisingly little interest in the second round of my box - even after generally positive comments. Here's what I have in the order that I'm thinking of right now, for recipients. If you're interested in seeing it and aren't on (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  More town pics...

Well, the "town" has been slightly expanded-- 2 more houses, 3 'shops', and some odd clutter (a horse trough, a hand held wagon, some barrels and crates strewn around, etc...) take a look: (URL) also some pictures of the unfinished mill (I need (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: NYC LEGOfest - Saturday, February 5th - Canceled

(...) I'm generally available, but I need to know 2-weeks in advance so that I can duck potential schedule misfits. I would almost certainly have missed this one since I didn't hear anything until too late. Chris (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

Re: Mibo(X), working like a dog ...

(26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.se)

Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

(...) Well, we work about a mile apart and we live in the same town (which isn't saying much, Cary NC is encroaching on the next county, though we actually live fairly close to each other [and I live closer to the Target and TRU])... This will be a (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Curious problem with download

(...) Unfortunately, the problem is not ambient light. I was trying this in a dark room at night. The only light source in the room was the monitor. I really think we can rule out the tower since my friends RCX loads with my IR tower just fine, and (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Digital Camera with LEGO

(...) This program is far far from perfect, I never finished it totally, and it was only working with my setup. But within a week or two, I'd like to build my own lego camera. And I'd like to make de pc soft more universal. The nqc part is a total (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Lose the Plastic Thingies (tm)

I have a bunch of empty tubs (100 or so) that I would be glad to swap for some better form of storage, like the 6 or 9 compartment trays with handles. I do agree that the tubs are good, but I hate the buckets for storage. That handle makes it really (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Legos get you into college

(...) IMHO The skills you are refering to are NOT tested in any way on a standardized test. As a matter of fact a big part of the problem with education has to do with the amount of time students spend working on irrelevant skills. When was the last (...)   Re: Yet another CLUELESS about MIB

(...) 'Mint', in a perfect world, means *perfect*. In a slightly more realistic world, it means 'in the same condition as it left the factory'. 'Mint' is a heavily misused and abused term. (In the eBay world, 'Mint' means 'I really want to sell this (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)
