I'm planning to attend the Midwest LEGO Train Show this weekend. Is there anything I/we could do to help promote the CLB there? I just discovered BrickQuest, and glanced through the rules. Looks like fun, and probably a bit quicker than BrikWars (which also sounds like fun). On the recommendation of y'all at the meeting on Sunday, I visited the Woodfield mall yesterday. Its LEGO store is quite nice (though oddly, it's not on the mall directory). I think it's pick-a-brick selection isn't quite as large as the one (...) (20 years ago, 7-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.us.clb)

Cool idea! I am from Wisconsin, and I know of no Lego club or group meetings in this area. Tell us how many showed up, and if there will be a future meeting with more of an advanced notice. OK, I think I've found something. The Woodridge Public Library has a free meeting room that's available this Sunday from 1-5 PM. Well, Ballydoyle's finally called me back, and I don't think is going to be right for us. For groups using the meeting room (which seats up to 30, BTW), they don't take separate checks; they want a lump payment which will be a minimum of $250. So, (...)
