Re: Series 3 Minifigs go up from $1.99 to $2.99

(...) While the plastic on the series 3 looks the same as S1 and S2, I can say that so far, S3 clutch power of feet to baseplate is much better than S1 and S2. Just my observation. Chris (13 years ago, 23-Dec-10, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Series 3 Minifigs go up from $1.99 to $2.99

(...) If it means that they're going to start using the regular LEGO plastic to make the MF's, then I'm fine with it. If not, then it looks like they just got a case of The Greedies. My local Meijer store had Series 3 for $1.99, so the MSRP didn't (...) (13 years ago, 23-Dec-10, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Lego prices in the US vs. Europe

I always found it fascinating to see that a Lego set was cheaper in the US than in Denmark, for instance. That did not seem right. This was simply by comparing prices in S@H, easily done by switching the country flag. It may start making sense if we (...) (14 years ago, 5-Aug-10, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.market.shopping)

  $150 PaB box discontinued.

I went to the Bel-Square LEGO store last Wednesday with my PaB box that I got back in Feb. '09.   Re: US Shop at Home Specials Discontinued

Re: US Shop at Home Specials Discontinued

(...) ::snip:: (...) I have a different theory on this. I think that LEGO is merely streamlining its operations and recognizes that these days, orders by phone represent a very small portion of their total sales. I would guess that their call center (...)   Re: US Shop at Home Specials Discontinued

(...) Thanks for the news, Dominic. This is a sad statement but not too surprising considering Lego's great financial returns (currently anyway) and the way their sets continue to be overpriced by 20-25%. They're making money (and keeping the (...) (14 years ago, 3-Jun-10, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)
