How Lego Direct could Make Jar-Jar an Orc

Well I have stated that Jar-Jar works well as an Orc before.  I just tried
puting the old knight torso armor overlay on Jar-Jar and it doesn't hit his
ears in the back.  Give him a round shield with the stud or a Fright Knights
bat sheild and an Axe (not a Halberd) and you have one cool looking Orc.  Here
is hoping Lego Direct will offer the Dk.Grey Knight Armor,Dk.Grey Round Sheild,
and Dk.Grey Axes some day.  As is just the FK shield and a brown Axe works very
well.

And so many people have been wondering what to do with Jar-Jar.

A better title would be "How AFOLs can make Jar Jar an Orc".  LEGO would not
be able to use the Jar Jar head on another figure that ain't a Gungan...
Lucas wouldn't have it.  I have not tried this yet, but how about the new Bull
green armor torso?  Beats having a bunch of one-eyed Bulls!
Here's to a little insanity!

Is that better?  This title is what I meant originally.  I guess I was just too
excited after making the Discovery that Knight Armor works with Jar-Jar heads.
I already have a use for the Bulls as is.  The silver eyes are the key to them.
They are demon children of The Necromancer.  I made The Necromancer with...
scale mail amulet armor torso (the king that came with Lego chess) with blue
arms and DK.Grey hands, Blue waist with Dk.Grey Legs, Darth Vader's head, a
Black hood and cloak, and a pirate saber.  The Bulls are his children and the
sisters of pain (all my willa the witches scared and mutalated by the
Necromancer) are the mothers.  The orcs have sworn fealty to The Necromancer.
The Skeleton army and Demon Riders (batlords) were raised by the Necromancer to
serve as his personal gaurd.  Then there are the men who have sworn fealty to
The Necromancer.  (the rest of FK)  Fortunately I convereted the Islanders into
Amazons (obi-wan heads and non-ponytail long hair pieces.) to help the King
(old and new lions) and his vassles. (falcons and dragons)  Even the Elven
Archers (forestmen) have allied with the king.  The Mage order is definately
excited over thier new lightning spears (even though I gave the greatest amazon
warrior the first one.)  Ah... lego Castle is very nice right now.

How about an Oger or Goblin?  (FYI the Original Orcs from Tolken's Lord of the
Rings were grey.  Lego's Wizzard Maejisto is a total copy of Tolken's Wizzard

Really? Where does it say that? I don't remember reading that. Is it in the
Silmarillion? I haven't read that in a few years. I suppose it's time for a
re-read.

Just wondering....

Why not make Tolkien hobbits too?  They would be hard though at half the height
of a normal human, we shouldn't use standard torsos and legs for these- any
good ideas?

Well you got a point. they were grey.
based on my favorite games and stories featuring orcs i'd rather have em'
green. Ogres good Idea! but i just really really despise the head on jar jar.
The rest of the minifig is good in my opinion but i really don't like the head
(which i guess makes the gungan fig what it is)

Uhoh, a Tolkien debate. I don't think the orc color is determined. They have
been various colors in licensed artwork. Gandalf became blue thanks to the
animated features, therefore Majisto looks like a copy, but remember he's
"Gandalf the Grey".

hmmm. I don't want to tell anyone how an orc should look. it's just that my
ideal orc is like a Tolken and Warcraft/Dark Omen orc. would be cool to make
one but i've strayed away from magic/elves/dwarves/dragons and stuff like that
in my castle world. right now my castle world is humans ruling/farming/making
war between powers and normal stuff. I don't even use skeletons or ghosts. i
like to stick a bunch of green baseplates and bricks together to make a really
big battlefield and create a bloodbath with about 300 minifigs. seems small
but it looks cool.

Orcs (or Orks if you've seen any Games Workshop products) are indeed many
colours, black and grey are two of the colours mentioned in LOTR.

James. (who is a Tolkien fan from way back...)

P.S. the only wiZZard I jknow is Rincewind from Terry Practchet's Discworld
series.

Thanks James! I guess the animators liked the blue hat notion because they gave
him a blue cloak in the 1979 movie... which the board game was based on... The
board game is fun... the colorful orcs are black, red, brown and yellow all at
once. (The ones in Moria are red, to look better on a black background. Special
breed?) But soon nobody will think of that movie anymore... yippee! Still, it
will always be "the one that got away" to me, since I only learned about it as I
was picking up my carefully-painted wooden castle from the newsprint and
couldn't believe my eyes at first, there was a movie ad with a big Gandalf (now
spotted with paint.) And it had come and gone away already.

Very soon there will be more..!

It's been awhile since I read LOTR, but, I have been reading the various 'Lost
Tales' and Unfinished Tales.

Actually, I've been planning on using a Jar-Jar head to help me represent a
Lizard-man type character.  This comes from my plans to put my rpg group's
TORG adventures online in Minifig form.  Two of the characters are Edinos,
which are essentially D&D lizard men.  The frustrating part actually comes with
the tail.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, you could do away with the standard minifig legs altoghter. This would
probably open up some possibilities.  Or you could put a brick between the
torso and the legs to build the tail off from, making a tall lizard.  I want
Jar Jars to make mutant hadrosaurs.
