I just had an idea and I don't remember anyone posting it before so I thought I
would even though someone must have thought of it before.
Many of us live close to at least one other member of CW and in my case I live
near Jeff Johnstone, Shiri Dori, and Dave Eaton. This makes it easy for us to
combine story lines if we want because we can just get together on a
weekend/weeknight and set things up.
What I was thinking however was how to combine stories of members that do not
live close to each other. My idea is actually quite simple.
Say Pawel and I wanted to combine stories and say have Richard Cypher (My
Character) visit or pass through The Devil's Gap (Pawel's Creation) all we
would have to do is have Pawel create a copy of Richard Cypher (Assuming he has
the parts) and then take the pictures of Richard Cypher at The Devil's Gap.
Of course this only works if someone has the parts to create a duplicate
character but at least in Richard Cypher's case all of his parts come from sets
available in 1999-2000. Unfortunately I could not (at least yet) return the
favor to Pawel because I don't have the parts to create a copy of Verneer :-(.
This obviously gets more difficult when part modification is involved and when
rare parts are used but I think it is something I would like to try sometime
with someone.
Just a random thought...

You could always use scenery or other objects (sheilds, cups, etc) to obscure
those bits that you don't have just right :)

Arjan and I have discussed doing just this, actually. It seems like it'd
work pretty well! I've got a 'clone' of Arjan's Qaballah that I'll be using
at some point in the future.

If Verneer needs to come to any NELUG CastleWorld lands, I could recreate him
and loan him to whoever he's visiting. I trust you folks, and besides, I'd know
where you live. >8)

Ayup, we're both recreating eachother's characters and it'll be great!
More people could try this. You don't have to live near eachother, as long as
you both have the parts you need to create the same figs/creatures/structures
you'll need, you can do anything. Could indeed make for great stories.
Also, don't forget about the power of photo editing. Pawel has used this before
and now Jeff has succesfully created some "magical" effects. Great tool to spice
up pictures.
PS: Jeff:, almost got my castle finished! I'll probably have pics ready within a
few days. And oh yeah, I do have that Stingray head from the small set. Didn't
know it was a different head until I opened it. :)

I would love to have the Mad Mage Cornelius visit my little world! I'm in the
middle of building a 'proper' castle for the Fright Knight guys and other
assorted knights. I hope to get it done, take pictures and post them up on my
(virtually non-existant) website. Anyways, I was thinking about everyone's
characters and the crossover possibilities with the Castle World thing and the
first guy I would try to cover would be Cornelius! I don't have all the parts
for him (missing a brown Robin Hood hat and the Adventurer head) but I think a
cameo of his 'Steam Powered Going and Raising Unit' running rampant past my
castle would be a hoot! My guys would be like "Huh...", then go back to
checking out all the fine foxy witches in the Witch Acadamy. =)

Right on, Eric!
That's a good idea and even though I've actually did it (with Craig -
character name will be kept anonimous (1)) I didn't think of posting it...
Thanks for doing that!

Great idea. Or, in case none of us can create a specific character, we can
always mail it to each other.

Should I be worried? :)
-Shiri
(1) Ugh. That's the worst spelling I've ever seen. Don't know the real one
though :)

Oh, no, I'm perfectly harmless. 8) (For a sufficiently broad definition of
harmless, that is...one that includes someone who's spent several hours a week
over the past few years learning what nasty things he can do to someone silly
enough to attack him...)

anonymous - you were actually pretty close!
