Jeez, those are incredible. So much detail in such a contained space, and all framed within beautiful countryside.          Re: Castle work by Takeshi Itou —Larry Pieniazek
(...) This is one of the reasons I wish BrickShelf had a "contact the author" function.... something that doesn't reveal the email of the folder owner but DOES get them a message... for all we know he knows nothing of LUGNET(tm)... Every time I see (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Do Itasimasite(You're welcome), Larry-san! His models are stunning...Ya, you're right. I seem landscapes builded by Itou are like battle-stages of some bird-view tactical-simulation-games. Now he intends to keep adding some shots of detail(!) (...)        ¡!¡Un-be-lie-va-ble¡!¡ jus’ spectacular… ~Silver Falls is exquisite. Takeshi Itou's the Grand Master of integrated landscaping. His buildings merge into the rock formation with such fluidity.       (...) I agree...the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous, and isn't an eyesore... talk about a master-piece!!! WOW!!          Re: Itou's Castle (Re: Castle work by Takeshi Itou) —Aaron Dalan
(...) Do you know, or can you ask Itou, if he deconstructed each model after photographing it, or can they all exist at one time? These are not toys, they are works of art. Aaron Dalan (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Itou's Castle (Re: Castle work by Takeshi Itou) —Kotaro Ono
Hi, Dalan. (...) The former, to my great regret. As you know, It is the way of the world for castles to rise and fall. ;-) (...) His work is temporary but his art is eternal, I guess. Regards Kotaro/EARL-0 (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Itou's Castle (Re: Castle work by Takeshi Itou) —Kotaro Ono
Hello again, Dalan. (...) Sure, I can have sympathy with you. It may be unbelievable for most of us. But he doesn't feel so much about this "tragedy" as we do. X-0 Incidentally, a half of works in his gallery were "rebuilt to take photographs" with (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Itou's Castle (Re: Castle work by Takeshi Itou) —Aaron Dalan
(...) I guess for someone as talented as Itou, he can always recreate his work later so it is not a big deal to take it apart. If I were ever to, somehow, make something that wonderful, I would just leave it in place. Aaron Dalan (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Castle work by Takeshi Itou —Josh Wedin
Hi Eric, This is in reply to your question about waterfalls. I have built a small one (no pictures of it as yet) that I made on a few BURPs. I had two baseplates from the Forestmen's Crosssing and needed something to start the river. So I made a (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Waterfalls in MOCs —Eric DeGiuli
Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'm using BURPs for the main rock/cliff structure, but for the water itself I wanted to do something besides plain blue bricks. I've experimented with a lot of different clear bricks (and clear light blue), but I'm not (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle)
