Wow. The snow field castle is incredible...the layering of the white plates
for the snow effect is unbelievably realistic.
All of'em are amazing....

Jeez, those are incredible. So much detail in such a contained space, and all
framed within beautiful countryside. Takeshi has used is a certain
characterisic architecture, which lends itself very well to that size of
castle.
Takeshi, if you're out there, please do join us here at Lugnet.castle!

This is one of the reasons I wish BrickShelf had a "contact the author"
function.... something that doesn't reveal the email of the folder owner but
DOES get them a message... for all we know he knows nothing of LUGNET(tm)...
Every time I see these pics I find other stuff to like. I wish they were
bigger though, ne? Right now my favorite part is actually the backdrops! It
is SO NEAT how he's got the colors of the water and ground flowing out of
the "set" and onto the backdrop. Just like LEGO(r) does it!
Wow.... just wow.

He can talk English little, so he's afraid that

Though I can't give you any insurance about results....
No, I'm not his spokesman B-p

This is just a stunning site. DO NOT be scared off by it being Nihonese
only, the navigation is easy to do and the pictures are breathtaking.

Itou's creations are really awesome.
Good job Itou!

I agree...the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous, and isn't an eyesore...
talk about a master-piece!!! WOW!!
I think a neat aspect of it, has to be the battery operated "boat" ... which
comes out of the "falls" on the track... It must be pretty cool to see it
run!!!

Very cool! The site and of course even more the featured buildings! It
doesn't matter that I can't understand any single word (my browser actually
shows just weird signs...) because those pictures speak for themselves. Great!
I especially love all those stairways and different levels and also the
omnipresent creeks and footbridges.

He shouldn't be affraid of this! I'm also not good at English. However, it's
good enough for rough communication... I hope...?

No matter! Legend-375 would have been a cheep copy of the original. So who
cares?
But indeed legend-6074 woluld have been cool for parts. I can't have enough
6074s.

Do you know, or can you ask Itou, if he deconstructed each model after
photographing it, or can they all exist at one time? These are not toys,
they are works of art.

Wow!!
Ironically, at work tonight I was thinking to myself that I would post when
I got home, asking if anyone knew about waterfalls that had been created in
MOCs -- Takeshi really has some great ones! His creations are incredible,
they've really inspired me to continue working on my buildings.

The former, to my great regret.
As you know, It is the way of the world for castles to rise and fall. ;-)

His work is temporary but his art is eternal, I guess.

Do Itasimasite(You're welcome), Larry-san!
His models are stunning...Ya, you're right.
I seem landscapes builded by Itou are like battle-stages of
some bird-view tactical-simulation-games.
Now he intends to keep adding some shots of detail(!) to each model,
so we may be looking forward to see them.

Kotaro/EARL-0,
thanks VERY much for revealing to all of us this wonderful website.
Its design is as impressive as the Lego master works.
Well, not true: this Lego masterpieces are so impressive beautiful!
I look at them and I'm in a state of admiration for a long time.
Astonishing and inspiring.
Thanks Itou and feel free to reply in whatever kind of English you speak.
With very best regards,

Hi Eric,
This is in reply to your question about waterfalls. I have built a small
one (no pictures of it as yet) that I made on a few BURPs. I had two
baseplates from the Forestmen's Crosssing and needed something to start the
river. So I made a small waterfall springing out of the BURPs. One other
one I saw was in the "Town under the observatory" that was recently posted.
It had a small waterfall by the mill (close to the martian minifigs
fishing). Hope this helps get your search started. I am sure there are
more than this as well.

Sure, I can have sympathy with you.
It may be unbelievable for most of us.
But he doesn't feel so much about this "tragedy" as we do. X-0
Incidentally,
a half of works in his gallery were "rebuilt to take photographs"
with his own memory of last couple of years.
Okay, Yes, I mean,,,, "rebuilt and taken apart at once for the next model".
Uhmmm, LEGO(R) is building brick toy, after all. X-(((

I guess for someone as talented as Itou, he can always recreate his work
later so it is not a big deal to take it apart. If I were ever to, somehow,
make something that wonderful, I would just leave it in place.

I was surfing the new addition last night and saw these too. As everyone
else has said, they are amazing, would recommend to anyone that hasn't to
look at his website
http://home.att.ne.jp/apple/hachi/ce_top.htm
doesnt matter if you can't read japanese or even if your browser doen't
support it, a picture tells a thousand words! there are more models on here
that aren't on brickshelf.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'm using BURPs for the main rock/cliff
structure, but for the water itself I wanted to do something besides plain
blue bricks. I've experimented with a lot of different clear bricks (and
clear light blue), but I'm not happy yet. I have some ideas, so I may go
work on that now. Also, I too used a baseplate from the Forestman's
Crossing!

Hello, again, or, as they say in Nihongo, Konichiwa, Larry-san. (It will be
the death of me if these keys on my keyboard will not type!) I must concur
that this a stunning site but the real treat is the creations themselves.
Has this person and his friend Kotaro ever watched any anime like Princess
Mononoke or Metropolis? They seem to be possibly very influenced by
environments derived from anime and old Akira Kurosawa epics such as The
Seven Samurai. Takeshi Itou does to LEGO backgrounds and environments what
Frederick Remington did to Old West painitings and sculptures. This man is
SO talented, Larry-san. He should consider working with LEGO International.
They pay people large amounts of money to build such sculptures. All of the
LEGOLAND places are proof enough of the talents of these people. I wish to
talk some more about my exploits since I left LUGNET but I will leave that
in another letter and in another place. The problem, however, is finding
the right place so I will leave this message at an end so sayonara, Larry-san.
Jesse Long
P.S. In traditional Japanese greetings, you are supposed to say the last
name of a person but that is only in a formal sense and your last name,
although only nine letters long, is extremely difficult to type or to
pronounce. Most generally, speaking of the first name with the ending of
-san is reserved only with casual, friendly conversations but in this case,
I am not a very close friend of yours but your name is also very hard to
type and to pronounce, as mentioned before, so I apologize for saying your
first name instead of saying your last name.
