Yes it does! I actually spend an entire day recently trying to get the
gearing right on my current project just so that I could get the drive axels
to be where I needed them to be! I'm thinking that in the future this will
not be necessary. Now, I just need to go out and buy a bunch more of these
sets!

Yes, unfortunately it does. ;( I didn't notice any problems ASSEMBLING the
models, but trying to take them apart again was a pain, literally!
And I also think that it is great that they give you a book with so many
different things to build. I just wish that you could build cooler stuff
with them. ;)
