(...) How DARE you call that cool air pump a SPUD? :) Jonathan Wilson (wishing he could afford one of those cool air pumps :) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)

  Re: Creator scourge strikes again!

(...) Creator is 100% compatible with System -- the _only_ major new element is the fig. It's not classic Town, but I'd rather see a real building product line aimed at 3-6 year olds than the current POOPy rubbish. (...) Megabloks figs? They're only (...)   Re: LOM vs. Space (was Re: On Paranoia: King Leo's Castle)

(...) What on earth do you classify as a SPUD? I see perhaps 2 or 3, the main one being the air pump, and ok, there's that arch piece. The tubes? I don't call those SPUDs. The tube holders? Well, perhaps their spudsy, but since they are an important (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)

Re: LOM Can not be space

(...) LOM has to be a continuation of the space port theme. C'mon, It started with astronauts and green crystals, and now it's astronauts and ugly green (or black or blue or pink or brown.......) aliens. Space always had no connection to earth or (...)   Okay, we are going crazy...

All the talk about the death of the minifig, and how creator is taking over, but think, for years, maybe dacades, minifigs have been living in harmony with technic figs, duplo figs, scala figs, ect.. I think they are good designs (but like almost all (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)

LOM vs. Space (was Re: On Paranoia: King Leo's Castle)

(...) Well, it all depends on how you look at it. LOM is not (at least, not according to lugnet) considered as part of the Space line (1). I don't know how accurate that is, I wouldn't bet my life on it, but there's probably a reason for it not to (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)

(...) I'm not sure I'd place that much significance on the Creator figures. I'd note that they look to be a similar scale to Fabuland (though perhaps with not quite the charm of Fabuland).   Did WE Create Creator?

After I thought about it for a while, I began to think "Did our complaints start the creator line?". Unless 2002 shows some sign of turnaround in the LEGO world, I'm afraid LEGO will lose a fan/customer in all areas except for technic/mindstorms.
