  Re: New 2001 scans

Cool, my son loves Builder Bob (or is it Bob the Builder)! They just started showing him on Nick Jr. this month. jt (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: New 2001 scans

(...) It looks like TLC is trying to capitalize on BattleBots (nee Robot Wars). That's neat, as I've been wanting to build my own, on the cheap. Also, that's a whole lot of treads. Finally, white burps in the ramp set. The set reminded me of the (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: New 2001 scans

(...) My... those look interesting.. the idea of blue dragon arms is intriguing for the Castle nut in me. The 'bell dome' pieces in this scan, while blurry, don't appear to be clear.. they look like they are Trans light blue. That would be most (...)   New 2001 scans

Some scans from what looks like a dealer catalog have been posted on Brickshelf: (URL) did not upload, just pointing out what I found using the "recent" link in the Gallery. Items shown - Builder Bob (Duplo scale) Dinosaurs ( - insert BURP joke here (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LoM - Explorer's symbol

(...) You're kidding, right?!?!?! Cool! I've gotta go get me one of these now...I was going to get my brother (a graphic designer & artistic type of guy) to make a study of the minifigure! :) James (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LoM - Explorer's symbol

(...) Yea, I noticed that. Cool! What I dislike is the re-use of logos from UFO or Insectoids (can't remember which). Frank (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Another new Martian set

(...) I like the 4 plain white R2 head (cylinder tops). I was using the printed R2 head for a dome in a microscale, and it looks, well, *unique* but a white one will be nice too. This is in 3-pack 78777 Alien Discovery at TRU. Look out, 5 digit set (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Another new Martian set

(...) I found one similar to it at the East Lansing Meijers in Michigan, except it had a actual set with it...it had 7311, a rovewr that used r2 heads for wheels, and an alien hover-ski-thing. Alien discovery I think. BTW , when is LoM goinna get (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

Re: Do we have a name for the new figs?

(...) How about Wirefigs? They're kinda wiry and umm... stuff. -- I think it'd be funny if someone egged Martha Stewart's house. (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

  Another new Martian set

The new Mania magazine has a section on page 4 about an exclusive 'alien encounter kit' available from Quaker. Send in 24 packets from instant oatmeal (I suppose I could make oatmeal cookies with it?). Looks like an alien on a small hovercraft and a (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  LoM - Explorer's symbol

I took my first really close look at the Life on Mars human sets today in a Target, and had to struggle to keep from laughing out loud. I had never noticed the little symbol on the circular tile before. The LEGO-ized version of da Vinci's famous (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Idea Book #2 trivia

This book came out copyright 1977. It's the big yellow one with animals and Big People on the cover. Also two offspring of Lego employees recruited as models (just kidding, I don't know anything about it.) Anyway, I looked back at all the pages, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.1977)

  Individual Martians?

What is the source for the individual poly-bagged Martians? It looks like they are all martians that appear in the regular sets. The packaging appears generic? Rob (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Lego car!?!

Yeah, I saw that. (URL) It's a de-badged Ford Expedition. It's designed cooperatively between Lego and Johnson Systems, which I'd never heard of but is apparently good with automotive interior type stuff. If they want to sell many they'll need to (...)   Re: New Life On Mars Set #7303

(...) Well, I suppose it will be a good source of those 1x4 bricks with studs on two sides and light gray SW cannons. trans Blue 1x1 cylinders, too. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)
