Re: 2002 catalog scans at FBTB

but look close at 4594.... there is a new special piece with a fig head and helmet! Can't they just use a mini fig?!?!? Juniorization is going way too far. (...) Mmmmm....that fender assembly over the rear wheels of set 4582 looks promising too. Needs Brasso though :-) The red spoiler in 4593 ((URL) looks useful too. I like the orange head. I am with the crowd or "more orange pieces please" so I don't feel like discouraging Lego over that one. I don't plan on buying any HP Lego thoa (wife won't let me since I am collecting SW Lego, and I have to save up for that (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.year.2002)

(...) critical (...) I too like the new canopies. Always good to have new types of these. And in trans brown and red too! I'm mildly dissapointed that they don't have a hinge on the back. (...) I don't think this is the case. If you look at the new Harry Potter sets, the goblins look shorter than mini-figs. Notice the tallest to shortest line up of Hargrid(creator fig), Harry(mini-fig), and the goblin(mini mini-fig?). It appears that (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.year.2002)

(...) No offense Jason, but I think, with exception to the new ogel underwater base, that the new Alpha team offerings suck. The shark sub is nice if you remove the wierd contraptions on the front. I think subs have been done too much.... lego (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.year.2002)

(...) I have to agree with you on this....I was also disappointed looking at the "fall preview". I think they brought out too much good stuff over the summer. (...) The Twin Pod pics are badly-composed in terms of lighting and angle. It's hard to glean much, but it looks like it is mostly regular red with dark red highlights.
