  Re: Army Sizes?

(...) How far is Fairfax from Franklin, Va? I'm going to visit my family for Thanksgiving and they live about 20 min away from Franklin. This year is kinda busy for me as well. School is worknig me over pretty good, but next year should even out. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Army Sizes?

Wow, that is a fairly large army you have ammased. Quite cool. In answer to your question I have 101 Union Soldiers split into 67 Inf., 32 Cal., and 1 Sharpshooter. On the Confederate side I have 44 total split into 42 Inf. and 2 Cal. I am aiming to (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.western)

  Army Sizes?

Just putting a feeler out for army sizes. I'm in the process of putting up a webpage as time allows, which isn't a whole lot. But my question is, how big are some of the armies out there? And what is a good unit size? I'm kicking around about 300 (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.western)

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight...

In case people missed this since it was announced to .contests only... This may well be the most ambitious (and richest, broadest, and potentially the funnest) contest ever staged in the LEGO world that wasn't put on by LEGO itself (and it surely (...)   Re: Battle line have been drawn

As always, cool stuff David! Ithink your Fort Legoredo is a lot more serviceable now. I like the Ironclad Idea too. The use of the ninja walls was a good idea as well, It has a real "coastal" fort feel to it. JOn (...) (23 years ago, 6-Oct-01, to lugnet.western)

  BrikWars Wild west train battle

Hey gang, On Thursday, October 4th, a few of us BLOC people and Larry P got together to play a little BrikWars campaign. Since Larry's the trainhead that he is, we decided to do one based on trains. Larry spent a little time to build a 1920's era (...) (23 years ago, 6-Oct-01, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.western, lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.bloc)

  Re: Greetings/Current Count of Soldiers

Hey Nate, cool to hear from you again, things have been pretty slow all over Lugnet since the 11th, but it's great to see stuff picking up. You've got a ton of soldiers, I'd love to see pics of those guys in action. A few months ago Shiri Dori had (...) (23 years ago, 2-Oct-01, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Cows

(...) Actually Dave, polar bears are great! They are perfect for pulling large objects. Insert a large pole into their mouths and voila! you have a new way of pulling things! I have also made them with saddles (thats one of the most interesting (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-01, to lugnet.western)

  Greetings/Current Count of Soldiers

Hello Everyone. Well this list has been kinda dead for a while now, but hopeflly maybe it can get some new life like last spring. I am finally back to reading Lugnet on a regular basis after some time in the woods of Northern NY. Happy to be back at (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Cows

(...) Yep. Lego could have made another animal like cattle that could be just as flexible to fit in other themes just like horses. Instead lego choose to make a polar bear for artic and a rock monster for rock raiders. Ok so you can use the rock (...) (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Cows

(...) I agree. No medieval countryside or village looks right without livestock either. Rapin' and pillagin' are fine, but stealing cattle is what it's all about. JSA -- Green Bay Lacrosse-- Play hard; play often. (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.western)

  Re: Cows

(...) I still think lego dropped the ball by not making minifig cows or steer for Wild West sets. They could even be mixed in to town theme for farms or ranches of the modern age. Building cattle with bricks is fine but it just looks strange next to (...) (23 years ago, 30-Aug-01, to lugnet.western)
