Oh, I'll take this bait:
LEGO paid about 80% of the costs to get the GMLTC and our layout out to
Carlsbad.
That's it. That's *every* "sponsorship" deal the GMLTC has ever received. We
lose money on every show we do, even the occasional show where we win prize
money. We will probably spend more building tables and storage racks for our
new layout than some model railroaders (N/HO gauge) spend on their entire
layouts...
The GMLTC is not big on publicity - otherwise we would have had our website up
18 months ago when I first registered the domain. We just like to build...
