Two neat things I spotted, both from this pic

First, you did open space bridges! Very cool. I especially like that you did
a monorail bridge.

In some ways, I would have liked a table under the bridges to display
some boats, but the open space made a much easier way to get in and out
without quite as much crawling, especially on Friday when we didn't have
the bridges up.

Second, that triangular bolton tray visible in the back inner corner seems a
neat idea. Did you get that idea yourself? Does it help strengthen the
corner or square it up at all?

The corners were added as places to put controllers, though we ended up
only using one of them. They almost certainly add some strength, but
aren't necessary from that perspective.

We (GFLTC) do the same thing, but your knees will be feeling it by late Sunday!:( I have been thinking of making a draw bridge with a open bottom to walk though, but it could get messy, with trains running. We at the NGLTC actually built a little removable shelf at would go under the bridges to act as water. Basically it was a piece of plywood that would just set into the gap after everything else was done with the layout, that way we could move in and (...)
