Re: DB InterCityExpress (ICE 3) train set

Thank you all for your great comments! I am excited to try the suggested improvements when I get the chance: (...) I agree this would improve the sleekness of the design, so I will certainly give it a try. Originally the notch-effect may not have (...) (16 years ago, 5-Feb-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Hi all, I'm currently working on making a train layout again since a very long time. (From the preliminary sketches it's already been decided I'm going to clear out my attic to make room ;) ) I am aiming for something a bit more interesting than (...) (22 years ago, 7-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: How many boxes of 9v Track in a Case?

(...) Mike, I have to apologize for the delay in responding to your post. I actually found out the answer from LEGO 24 hours ago, but sometimes the best plans just go awry. The 9v train straight track was shipped in a K-8 box that contained 48 of (...) (16 years ago, 23-Jan-09, to lugnet.trains)

(...) The new lamps are really cool, especially in being LED. They can be a bit bulky compared to the old light bricks though. Plus they're permanently paired. (URL) I believe the bottom of these are compatible with the old 9V connectors. The (...) (16 years ago, 30-Jan-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: 7896 "Straight and Curved Rails" Set Review

(...) To underscore that point, in a recent NELUG draft this summer, we had maybe 400 lots for our participants, about 17 of which were lots of curved track (unopened boxes or groups of 8 rails). Also in the draft were such undesireables as foam (...) (16 years ago, 12-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains)

How many boxes of 9v Track in a Case?

I need to estimate how much track NCLTC has on hand for an upcoming layout we're doing (first one in a while) and I'd rather not actually count it. Does anyone know how many boxes of 9v track came in a case? A million years ago NCLTC bought a case (...) (16 years ago, 19-Jan-09, to lugnet.trains)

QR SMU (rehash of the failed EMU)

Part of it is by design through LDRAW and LDD, but some construction was improvised either because it did not look right, or parts in that colour are not available. It is 38 studs long, 6 wide.
