  Broken Train Motors
 
On the ends of one of my 9v train motors the little hooks have broken off. Has anyone else had this problem? I store the motors in a safe place when I'm not using them, and it isn't like I broke them off for any reason. If the hooks get weak after (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains)

I'm wondering...... Would it be possible to pull the metal wheels from a dead 9V train motor, and fit them into a standard wheelset frame, and convert it into a power pickup? Seems to me it should be possible, it's just how much work it would be. (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains)

Here is another very easy way for your consideration, all you need is the actuator from the 12V points/switch or the 12V automatic level crossings, a short length of string (Lego string is good :-) ) and a dab of glue. ...snip... (...) Ed, the .mpd file is missing a part. MLCAD tells me file X169.dat is missing! I *think* its the rubber band you used for the design but I'm not sure.
