It was in the 6340 Hook & Ladder, which was a common set not long ago.
Red, OTOH, really is rare.

| (...) i (...) help? They don't have faces. This part is used to make the dummy truck at the unpowered end of the Metroliner. Look at the brickshelf instruction scan, it should clear it up. Many older 9V sets use a similar design for the dummy (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)
