ben>> Hmm, I think I got the 2x3 with quarter rounds in blue from Auczilla, or
perhaps they were from some happy meals. Do not tend to keep track of such
things. In either case, I'm short about five of them to complete it.

ben>> Correct, The midsection and cab is six wide, the boiler is four wide.
The stud forward construction through the middle keeps the top line smooth and
also provides a smooth surface for the drive wheels to translate accross
underneath. (Between the drive wheels there are some long tiles that rub, not
the wheels, but this is only when you run accross irregular variations in the
height of the track. Otherwise the drive wheels simply 'float' between the
leading and trailing truck.)

Ben>> Thank you Chris. I checked out a book from the Library Wednesday night
with lots of Steam Engine Pictures. Thought about during the day and built it
last night in about four hours. Spent most of the time figuring out the front
end and leading truck arrangment.

| Ben, It looks nice. It looks like you are using rounded off "FreeStyle" 2x3 bricks [1] on the cab and on the tender. I have been looking for those. I have only found one FreeStyle set that has them in blue, and that $20 set only has two of them. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)
