   (...) I'm betting 2finger/3finger 1x2 plate hinges. One cross brace seems in front of the other. The way I did the GMLTC coaling station uses those bracing rods (in red in the newer shuttle pad) for this. (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

   (...) the (...) Thanks for the insight, Larry. Mind mind is definitely drifting toward the same bracing rods you speak of, but in black, as from the Outback Airstrip.    (...) Yes. Conan has a bunch of those in grey from somewhere so I used them both in the water tower and the coaling tower.    (...) Ahh-thanks for the point, Frank, and once again Larry. I was confused. When I revisited those pictures my mind was cleared up. I've got 2x2x5 black lattivce pieces and some 1x8 technic linkage plates (with holes at each end) right here in (...) (25 years ago, 6-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
