What are the best way to mark the various items (baseplate, 9v tracks, etc) when you do a display with many contributors ? I found this post : (URL) you have other ideas ? What are the best pen, stickers or "stuff" we can use to mark ? (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) In the front of a display, all of us in GWLTC just build our own scenery on our own bases, and lay our own track up to the edge of the section. Round the back, we each bring some small plates of an individual colour to put either on the track, (...) (17 years ago, 30-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) One way is to use a little dot of paint or nail polish. Everybody use a different color, and it's not a problem. Or two different colors for more people. I have used this for marking climbing gear, and it's quick, easy and durable. Tim (17 years ago, 30-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I use a tippex pen and put white dots in the two stud holes at one end of each piece of track. I've also seen people use single coloured round plates on top of the track when its not visible. (17 years ago, 30-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Marking tracks and other Lego pieces

(...) Every one in WAMALTC marks their track pieces on the bottom with a marker, paint, other permanent means, using a unique pattern of coloring in the circles or outside the circles. Our patterns have become so distinct that other members are able (...) (17 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Marking tracks and other Lego pieces

(...) I frequently borrow my sister's labeler (like (URL) to label anything going to shows. The smallest font can, with some scissor work, make labels that fit inside track. Address labels are a more simple but equally effective solution. Benefits, (...) (17 years ago, 31-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Marking tracks and other Lego pieces

(...) This is one reason I like the address labels. Sure, no phone number, but they can at least mail you a letter if they care (and it looks valuable enough), and with a name and address, it's not too hard to get a phone number if they would rather (...)
