    Layout Started —Ed Andrews
Thank you all for the advise and help. We're underway with starting a shelf layout. The basement project is finally complete, last of the paint and carpeting. The playroom is nearly 11' a 11' and has already been claimed by a Duplo freight. Seeing (...) (19 years ago, 1-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Woodworker's tip and nitpick... 1)Once you've laid out your line, take a utility knife and cut into the wood along the line (both sides if your anal and want a good finish). That will help minimize the splintering that is prevalent when (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Updates to the layout. Painting was nearly wrapped up this weekend and by Tuesday evening I was asked to start getting my old Lego sets out of the closest. (URL) not completely happy with the configuration. Base plates and track are fighting for (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Some simple model railraoding techniques might offer some depth. Perhaps a blue gradient staring at about 12" above the table top, to about 36" above the table (depending how high the tallest buildings are). Since its already light blue, get some (...)
