  Brickfest

Hi All, I just completed my arrangements for Brickfest and was wondering which other train heads would be there! This is my first BF and can't wait! Finally get to meet some more east coast brethren (and sister-ern too). Is anyone thinking about (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX) !

  Re: DCC for the RCX

Hi Ralph, I should be able to extract the source for the low level driver routines this week. If anyone else is interested, please email me. Note for BrickOS users: it's not simply a matter of plonking the routines into a program. The kernel will (...)   The legendary set 383 reloaded....

Hi all! after my first pair of oldtimer trucks got highlighted, here is the next MOC of that theme: this time I rebuilt the legendary set 383 from 1973. But I did some modest modification to the up-to-date piece assortment of course... Again I tried (...)   RE: DCC for the RCX

Mark, would it be possible to share the code of your DCC controller, I am the author of pbForth and would love to add the driver to the pbForth library. I've also got a servo driver in pbForth already. Too bad Hitechnic is out of business. Their (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.trains)

One way is to mount one or more magnets on the underside of the train with their N-S pole oriented across the width of the train (to differentiate it from the couplers of just any old train) and then sense these specially-marked train cars (...)   UPDATE Re: vose inspection car render

hey guys, the emails about the color libraries came all morning, and i'm glad to say that now I can use all the cool colors from (URL) well as the original colors from color.inc. This souped up render has replaced the orignial. Here is the link. (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC for the RCX

I just converted my first engine to DCC yesterday and started playing with LDCC 1.01. LDCC is fantastic! Thank you, Mark! I installed an AD330 N-Scale decoder from Model Rectifier Corp according to the directions on Tom Cook's site. At 0.8 Amps this (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.trains)

Re: Just have to post, LOVE the train shed

(...) I just want to shout out a hearty "I agree completely!" to this. I received the Train Shed last week, and although I haven't built it yet I have 'read' the directions and looked through the parts packs. Great parts, great details, great set - (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

Some pics of my vintage train collection

In a few weeks, I hope to have time to photograph my collection with a better lighting, backdrop, etc. but for a sneek preview, I quickly snapped some shots of my (vintage) train collection, so far I only got around to buidling my 4.5 and 12 V (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

Just have to post, LOVE the train shed

Finally I got my copy of the train shed. I build it immediately, and WOW, what a great set. The overall look is great, and will fit right into any train layout. Besides that, the number of great parts is really high!! As soon as I have some more (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: NGLTC Discover Mills store "Club House"

That was the major inspiration for me pursuing getting a space for the NGLTC, I just had to find the right opportunity and the right mall. This one is very new and (...)   Re: NGLTC Discover Mills store "Club House"

(...) It's definitely good to see the example expanding. Remember PNLTC did this last year... I hope we manage again this year because it's a lot of fun (and it was real cool that the place we did it at was 5 minutes from my apartment).   10128 or 10028?

Okay I have noticed that here at Lugnet, the set number for the new Level Crossing is 10028, yet on Lego Shop@Home it is 10128! Even in Lugnet's set guide, the actual level crossing is listed as 10028 and 10128 as the same set ecept with 'question (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

Here are a few pictures of the outside of the club house: (URL) It's very strange being in there with the mall crowd, it's like living in a fish bowl.
