Re: Free Shipping over $99 at S@H

(...) Sorry...10025's are available now and 10022's will be available in October. I guess it was just the excitement of the moment. Still, I can't wait to get the new rail cars. (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: santa fe -poster- in progress

(...) I just tried this - it works very very well!! And it's not obtrusive at all. Thanks a million!! - Bob (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.trains)

Try this one: (URL) add 2 brackets 2x2, in gray of course :-) Even better if you mount it on top of the 1x2plate+corner plates. Good luck! Klaas H. Meijaard (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.trains)

Re: shroud for train motor wheels

Great work guys! The work and discovery by Jeremy, Dave, and Steve shown below inspired me to try a similar shroud for non-motorized 9v train wheels. As 9v volt wheel housings are exactly 6 studs wide, the edge-to-edge solution shown below is wider (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) LLW = LEGOLAND Windsor RLD = Red Letter Days (an event at LLW where you can book two days in the park, including access to behind the scenes model building, with the opportunity to pick up to 1kg of bricks from their supply). (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train roof 6x6 in new colors?

Sorry if I've missed it - what is LLW and RLD? They are not in Shiris acronym faq, nor much on lugnet news (at least I did not find it) And thanks to Pedro for drawning my attention to this! Huw Millington <hmillington@btinternet.com> wrote in (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: The FGLTC has moved to the top level domain www.fgltc.org

(...) Dear Chris, thanks for reporting this one! I have just been working on the trains page (where you found that link) 30 minutes ago and exchanged that picture against a newer one now. Now the 10022 and 10025 are uploaded as latest additions. The (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: santa fe -poster- in progress

(...) Unfortunately, the weight of it causes the arm with the signals on it to bend down quite a bit. I think it's due to the separate top on the support pillar.   The FGLTC has moved to the top level domain www.fgltc.org

Hi all, just a brief announcement: the FGLTC is now to be found under the URL: WWW.FGLTC.ORG My homepage 'Ben's World of ABS' has also been moved as there in an under-directiory. (URL) update any links, since the old address might be taken off the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Train roof 6x6 in new colors?

(...) I agree - I'm glad to have picked up some rare parts, and to swap them between us, but I think trying to profit from these parts is a sure way to ruin the relationship between the fans and LLW. Jason J Railton (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: restoring, 9v, track

(...) The problem with any abrasive cleaning is that it leaves tiny grooves, causing the track to get dirty again even sooner... at least that's what I learned from/being a h0 railroader. (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New Track radius question

Yes, Ho type points, that would be awsome.... I have drawn some possible points a while ago in brickshelf: (URL) would also like to see points without the "S" curve, but with a cleareance of only 8 studs.   Re: restoring, 9v, track

(...) Please do! (...) I'd advise using white (artgum) rather than pink, as pink has abrasive in it. If white works as well, you've saved abrading your track a bit. Abrasion, I would think, would increase the rate of subsequent dirt accretion. The (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)
