Hi Just received the sets I ordered from S@H. Woohoo!!! Kecia Denmark (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Reinhard "Ben" Beneke
(...) Hi Kecia, that is amazingly fast! Wow. Could you try to discribe the 'silver' corrugated bricks of the train set. How do they look like? Is the quality top or do they look like too cheap plastic (like some of the wheel hubs in silver metal (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Kecia Hansen
(...) Hi Ben I suppose you mean those 1 x 2 bricks, that are in a little bit different color, than light grey? The colour is new to me, so it does looks a little strange. But I think they are fine. Just takes a little time to get used to the new (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Kecia Hansen
(...) Hi Ben Just uploaded some pictures of the box and stickers. Can be seen here: (URL) to mention, that there are 2 instruction books in this set. One is marked 10025-1 (builds the bagage car), the other one is 10025-2 (mail car). The silver (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains) !

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Thomas Burger
(...) Hi kecia i have a question. the ribbed 1 x 2 bricks. are those the only parts that are pearl silver? if not what else is pearl color? (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Kecia Hansen
(...) Hi Thomas Yes, those 1 x 2 ribbed bricks are the only ones in the pearl/silver color. Most of the rest are in the usual light grey, with train base and train ends in dark grey. There are also small numbers of black, red(seats), yellow(cups), (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Reinhard "Ben" Beneke
(...) [Snip] (...) Thanks a lot for these informations! The new colour had been described as new kind of 'silver' (in the first spy-shots that appeared at 1000steine) so I expected some metallic effect as we know it from some of the late technic (...)         Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Kecia Hansen
(...) Hi I think you can say, they have kind of a "metallic glow" to them. Sorry, I don't have the mosaic set. End windows are in a 2 x 2 black panel, where you "push in" the blue windows, just like you do on the train doors. In other words... It's (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Reinhard "Ben" Beneke
(...) [Snip] (...) In the mosaic, there is just a colour that looks like two parts of the well known 'normal' grey and one part of white. (...) Seen that on your box scans a few minutes ago. Thanks for your information! Ben . . . P.s.: should I dare (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Based on seeing the preproduction prototypes, I assert they are not that color. I would characterise them as being somewhat metallicised or iridescent, the plastic is a bit translucent to a small depth and there are flecks or sparkles in. I (...)         Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Richard Morton
Lar - Is this the same metallic gray that some of the Bionicle sets use (and I think one of the new Star Wars or Island Extreme sets used the same color - can't remember which as all the sets I have bought for parts recently have become blurred in (...)          Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Can't say. I don't have any of those sets and haven't looked at them in the store closely enough to tell. But probably. (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Jason J. Railton
(...) Has anyone got a Green Goblin hover-thingy then? The 2x6 printed slope/curve are in a sort of "pearl-silver" (is that a good enough description?) like some of the bricks I got from LLW. It looks like a slightly transparent shiny grey. You can (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Kecia Hansen
(...) Hi Sorry, but I don't have the Green Goblin. "Pearl" could be a right description, and they ARE kind of shiny, especially if you hold them into the light. But I would not say that they are transparent, nor that you can see a little way into (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Ken Koleda
Larry, is this essential a gray version of the C3PO that is .. gold I guess. But I guess C3PO doesn't have flecks if I remember correctly. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Kecia Hansen
(...) I think you can say it is. C3PO has that same kind of "strange glow" to it. But the Santa Fe pieces are of course, as you say, grey/silver coloured. Kecia (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!! —Paul Sinasohn
