  Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) Actully I think it was... But, on the nose... I could be wrong also! Wait, wasn't it a blue & yellow version of the logo? Josh (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) prototypically yes.the cigar sf logo is only on the front, and in large yellow lettering is the road name with the addition of ideas from the new sfsc, this model will change dramatically (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) Yes. Oh, and adding to my other post, I think it only prototypically goes on noses, not sides. But why be prototypical? :-) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) Yes, I believe you are correct. It does have some resemblance to one. It was used on a blue/yellow (non warbonnet) F scheme as well as a blue/yellow (warbonnet) F scheme but I don't think it was ever applied to a GP40, was it? Could easily be (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) This paint scheme needs big "Santa Fe" letters on the side and no elongated cross/ellipse sticker, though, if you want to be prototypical. But why do that? The Herald sticker will look nice too. (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOC train uses Alpha Team Canopy for Cab Windscreen

(...) Roger roger. <snip> I spotted these when you started uploading to BrickShelf but didn't want to steal your thunder. Very nice. You're right, while these aren't "prototypical" they are certainly neat, that's an innovative use for the (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: "Lego Auctions" on Lego.com?

(...) Well, they opened up business now with the missing Santa Fe numbers: nr. 1 through 5 is on auction (with landscape-displays), and nr. 1 is (6 days before the auction ends) now over $1000 !!!!! Arne (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

Re: New MOC train uses Alpha Team Canopy for Cab Windscreen

(...) Nice design. EMU means Electric Multiple Unit, simply meaning its a bi-directional train with driver cabs at each end. Here in Scotland, EMU's typically come in 3-car configs, with the centre car having a pantograph, and therefore being the (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Santa Fe Super Chief A0001 on eBay

(...) I have to disagree. A kid wanting to play doesn't care if the set is numbered 1 or 1,000,000. They could order the set from S@H for the MSRP. Only collectors truly care about getting set number 1, or original releases, or MISB, or whatever. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
