  Buffers

I have two separate buffers pieces, each attached to a single 1x2 black plate. Any ideas which set(s) these may have come from? (23 years ago, 21-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) There is a very anoying bug in Acrobat, and it might be the source of your problems. Sometimes, opening a PDF inside Explorer seems to "hang" all the windows. Just minimize every window on your desktop and you will probably see a dialog asking (...) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Supplementary parts for 10020?

(...) Was there a charge incurred with these packs? This item is getting more and more interesting. My best guess (if there is no extra cost) is that the numbered stickers(or printed 1x2 tile, or whatever it ends up being) are packaged seperatly, (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) The portholes are 2x2 clear thinwalls that have been printed red or grey. The # tile is printed. The Santa Fe graphics are stickers. (...) Price point taken, yes, they would be expensive in the individual packs like 7858 & 7859. Speaking as a former 12V user, there was that nice little add-on called 7863. When I bought my system in 1985 (great year for American Dollar) in Europe, I (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10020 limited to 10000 sets or not?

(...) I understood it as Mark did. Personally, after 10,000, I rather see a *different* engine run of 10,000 and have the Super Chief go out of production for a while (based on the fact that LD can only have so many different sets in production at (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks for that clarification. I said "usually"... your clarification nicely proves what I've repeatedly said in the past... "in railroading there are ALWAYS exceptions". But I'll stick with my usually. The usual major mechanical difference is (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Supplementary parts for 10020?

(...) They are probably the 2 light gray side bars which fit over the 9 volt train motor. So when you decide to power your Super Chief, the wheels will match the already light gray wheels that come in the set. -John (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Supplementary parts for 10020?

Hi all, I placed an orer Friday for 2 Santa Fe Super Chiefs, along with the Deluxe Metro Liner Kit. I received the Metro-Liner today, and on the invoice it stated that the 2 Super Chiefs were on backorder, but it also stated that there were 2 (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: transcript is up

(...) The above link says the Super Chief B units also carried a steam generator for heating / air conditioning, and the A units carried extra water for the boiler in the B units. ROSCO (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  NGLTC Greenberg Show
