I went with those thin technic wheels, they work fine, & really take no
technic construction to build them into it, & the fit into the 3x3 space!.
I built the ends of my model with plates to get a more appropirate angle to
the hoods (works really well at 5 wide too!). Before I started these i have
never really examined anyone's 8-wide locomotives except for a switcher on
brickshelf. I'm supprised when I see yours, with 5 wide bodies, & i've been
to your page before i started! I was really supprised by my lack of notice
of the 5 wide body. I'm going to finish my GP30 soon, I got a GP35 & GP38
lined up, + a suprise SD45! I will only post that when it is totaly complete.
Anyways, i'm going to use some of your ideas on the roof of mine.
